Time for some more #buildinginpublic 🕯 - Post #1️⃣ A couple of months ago c. 160 analytics folk were kind enough to complete a survey on their use of tracking on websites & forms. I promised to share the results and my thoughts on their implications so here they are 👇 Question 1️⃣ was simple - Have you ever used analytics software to track overall user behaviour on websites? Result: 97% Yes, 3% No So far so good - I don't know who the analytics people who have never tracked a website were though! Question 2️⃣ - Have you ever used analytics software to specifically track user behaviour on web forms or checkouts? Result: 77% Yes, 23% No A generally good implication for us at Zuko Analytics - practitioners seem to understand the value of tracking forms & checkouts specifically but there is a quarter of the audience that have never done it. Question 3️⃣ - Which of these analytics software providers had you heard of before you started this survey? You can see the results for this question in the graph 👇 Not a surprise that #ga is at the top (although 2% of people had never heard of them apparently 🤔 ) with a strong showing for Adobe and Hotjar. It is intriguing that Contentsquare awareness remains much lower than Hotjar | by Contentsquare despite it seeming to be their flagship brand (with Hotjar being left to wither on the vine). From a Zuko perspective it isn't hugely encouraging. Only a quarter of our market are actively aware of us despite us dominating the form analytics niche. Looking on the positive side, there are 75% of analytics practitioners for us to go at! I'll be posting more results from the survey in the upcoming weeks so keep your 👀 peeled if you're interested. Interesting results Alun Lucas, thanks for sharing! 👍🏼 I am not surprised that Hotjar is more widely known that Contentsquare. When I was working agency-side 70% to 75% of the clients were using Hotjar (and most of them for many years). Some clients only started switching to other solutions after Hotjar’s infamous price hike in 2022. 😵 One last detail that I would be interested in knowing: where were the respondents based? Zooming in on that part might show in which parts of the world Zuko brand awareness is the lowest/highest. 🧐

But good… now you can run ABM campaigns to those who responded but are “not aware” of Zuko.
