In the last 2 months I've participated in 3 hackathons🤓 Here are the results: 1. Deep Dive was my first hackathon ever. We had to create a go-to market strategy for the medical start-up. Unfortunately my team didn't manage to qualify for the second round but it was a great learning experience which assisted me in the next challenges. 2. Next came the Talent Vantaa Hackathon by Business Vantaa where my team tackled the space industry (totally new to me!) for ReOrbit – and we won! 3. The last challenge was from Solve the SDGs hackathon organized by Aalto Ventures Program and Junction. We built a digital tool to analyze extreme weather for Sweco, making it into the top 5 in the peer review! Feels like I found a new hobby! Already waiting for the next challenge... 😊

Week 3 Chronicles at Techstars Berlin 2023! And just like that, Week 3 at Techstars Berlin 2023 has come to a close! This week was all about execution – putting into practice the myriad of insights and feedback from last week's Mentor Madness. The journey from ideation to implementation was both exhilarating and demanding. As Ana Gerlich and I delved deeper into execution, we realised that many of the contradictory pieces of advice from week 2 actually had their time and place. It's like piecing together a puzzle where each mentor's perspective found its rightful spot in our larger strategy. This week helped us validate some of our pre-existing assumptions. It underscored the importance of continually testing and validating hypotheses in the real world. The saga of Mentor Madness goes on! With another week ahead, we're prepped to dive deep, question assumptions, and gather wisdom from industry veterans! 🔬 🔭

I recently attended the Sedrah and NextGen AI hackathons and discovered that hackathons are a great way to promote your startup ⬇️ Hackathons offer a platform to showcase your startup to a large audience, attracting potential customers and investors. It’s also not necessarily that much work, as you can reuse your past investor pitches and demos for the hackathon as well. --- In my next newsletter article, I discuss my experience at these two hackathons in Saudi Arabia.
