28-29 Mart 2024 tarihlerinde Karbon Derneği tarafından gerçekleştirilen 4. Ulusal Karbon Konferansı'nın (4.UKK) birinci gününde "Karbon Malzemeler, Karbon Teknolojileri ve Sürdürülebilirlik" başlıklı bir panel düzenlenmiştir.
Panele DowAksa Sürdürülebilirlik Müdürü Serdar Asmaoğlu, Kordsa Kompozit Malzemeler ve Süreç Geliştirme Platform Lideri cem öztürk, SOCAR Türkiye Kurumsal Sürdürülebilirlik Grup Müdürü Ömer Çağlar, Karbon Derneği Başkanı Mustafa Yılmaz ve Karbon Derneği Yönetim Kurulu Üyesi Prof. Dr. Ferhat Yardım katılmıştır.
Prof. Dr. Selmiye Alkan Gürsel'ın oturum başkanı olduğu paneldeki katılımcılar karbon malzemelerinin çevresel koruma kadar endüstriyel ilerlemede de temel rolünü vurguladılar. Tartışmaları, bu son teknoloji ürünlerin karbondioksit emisyonlarını azaltmada kritik bir rol oynadığını ve daha yeşil bir gelecek için etkilerini anlattı. Ayrıca, şirketlerin ESG (Çevresel, Sosyal ve Kurumsal Yönetişim) uygulamalarının dönüştürücü gücünden bahsettiler, malzeme üretim süreçlerini şekillendirmenin ve ürünleri yaşam döngüleri boyunca sürdürülebilirliğe doğru yönlendirmenin nasıl olabileceğini tartıştılar. Birlikte, yenilik ve sorumlu kurumsal yönetişimin kesiştiği bir dünyanın etkisini anlattılar ve daha sürdürülebilir ve refah dolu bir gelecek için bir yol çizdiler.
The 4th National Carbon Conference (4.UKK), organized by the Turkish Carbon Association, took place on March 28-29, 2024. On the first day, a panel titled "Carbon Materials, Carbon Technologies, and Sustainability" was held.
The panel featured Serdar Asmaoğlu, the Sustainability Manager of DowAksa; Cem Öztürk, the Leader of Composite Materials and Process Development Platform at Kordsa; Ömer Çağlar, the Corporate Sustainability Group Manager of SOCAR Turkey; Mustafa Yılmaz, the President of the Carbon Association; and Prof. Dr. Ferhat Yardım, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Carbon Association.
Under the moderation of Prof. Dr. Selmiye Alkan Gürsel, the panel participants emphasized the fundamental role of carbon materials not only in environmental protection but also in industrial advancement. They discussed how these cutting-edge technologies play a critical role in reducing carbon dioxide emissions and shaping a greener future. Additionally, they spoke about the transformative power of companies' ESG (Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance) practices, discussing how they shape material production processes and guide products towards sustainability throughout their lifecycle. Together, they illustrated the impact of the intersection of innovation and responsible corporate governance, paving the way for a more sustainable and prosperous future.
