There’s more to Michael Fassbender’s Le-Man film than fast cars and crashes (although there’s plenty of that too).
Here’s what we can learn:
It’s never too late to reinvent yourself.
Fassbender was in his forties when he decided to realise his race-driver dream. So, there’s time for us all yet.
You don’t have to do just one thing.
He races in the summer and acts for the rest of the year. So, maybe we can all find a balance between our passions and pursuits. Split your week, month, or year.
You don’t have to be brilliant at the thing you love.
MF loves racing cars but he’s definitely not the best. He’s made lots of mistakes and he’s stuck it into the wall plenty of times. But he’s not giving up, he’s learning and striving hard.
Skill is nothing if your heads not in the right place.
During a 2 hour stint at Le-Man, Fassbender is slow, complaining about tyres, ‘marbles’ on the track, other drivers and is generally in a negative space. No surprise that with a re-focus and clearing of his head, comes a significant turn of speed.
Lots to take out of it.
Or you can just enjoy an interesting and beautifully shot motor racing film.
