Exclusions: What's Not Covered It's essential to be aware of exclusions in your policy. Cyber Liability Insurance for example doesn't cover acts of terrorism, employee fraud, internet failures, professional errors, intercompany claims, intellectual property losses, fines, and statutory payments. Understanding these exclusions is vital for informed decision-making. #InsuranceExclusions #PolicyDetails

Businesses are increasingly being held responsible for crimes that happen on their property, whether the crime had anything to do with the business or employees. For example, a crime completely unrelated to the business that happens in the parking lot and resulted in a personal injury - the business could face a lawsuit if they are found to be negligent in providing adequate physical security measures. In addition to other measures, such as improving lighting, security cameras and legible signage, how can off-duty officers help? • They have a presence and authority that helps deter crime • Officers are trained and knowledgeable in use of force • In the event of a crime, they are well-versed in documentation (which will be important for the insurance company) • A police officer knows the right measure of response (ie: if and when to file a police report, when to call for back up, etc.) Enlisting an off-duty services provider like Summit also often includes general liability insurance that can help cover personal injury expenses or legal fees in the event the officer is involved in an incident. https://hubs.li/Q01X-mhj0
