Credos - Advertising's think tank revisited its ground-breaking Public Trust in Advertising research for 2023 at LEAD Scotland! Credos research consultant Dan Wilks talked the audience through the new study – ‘What drives the public’s trust in advertising’. This follows work done by the AA to arrest the long-term decline in public trust in advertising – and there are signs of improvement since the industry’s low point in 2015. The study, which was led by Credos and conducted by research agency Craft - Human Intelligence, interrogated the drivers which most affect public trust as well as unpicked emerging themes by age group.
