Islamabad has declared that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has committed to investing a considerable $10 billion in several promising sectors of Pakistan's #economy. Pakistan is actively seeking foreign investments to support its $350 billion economy, so this promise comes at a critical time. Pakistan, which is suffering from severe inflation and slow growth, is implementing difficult reforms that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has imposed. Following a meeting between UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during Sharif's two-day visit to the UAE, the investment pledge was announced. The commitment was also verified by the Emirati state news agency, WAM. The $10 billion investment across different industries was confirmed and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan pledged unshakable support to Pakistan, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office of Pakistan. Nevertheless, the announcement omitted information regarding the precise industries designated for #investment. The need of fortifying strategic alliances was emphasised by Prime Minister Sharif, especially in fields like information technology, renewable energy, and tourism.
