Philadelphia Film Critics Circle Member (Marvelous Movie Maven) | Customer Care Professional for LearnQuest
This was my 5th year being a voting member of Philadelphia Film Critics Circle. Every year we communicate via Discord with each other prior to nominating films – discussing stuff we saw outside of the ones being put up for awards season, which we all see via screenings and screeners. We encourage one another to see personal favorites. My big ones were the two docs I saw during BlackStar Film Festivall: INVISIBLE BEAUTY & THE SPACE RACE. Another fav I saw during Sundance from Mexico, that I don’t believe got distribution: RADICAL. And a small indie called SHARE? sent to me by a PR Agent I’d never dealt with before. But ultimately, either you can’t get enough of the other PFCC members to see your picks; or it’s difficult to get the screeners within our time frame; or not enough members are as enamored with your film choices to make a quorum. This is why it typically comes down to the same 5 – 8 movies that every other Critics Association winds up voting on; but this year was a real sweep by both OPPENHEIMER & Our Best Picture Winner POOR THINGS– review will be posted in my personal Top 20 Movies of 2023 List. HERE’S THE PHILADELPHIA FILM CRITICS CIRCLE WINNERS and RUNNERS UP for 2023... https://lnkd.in/ex2F_maG #philadelphiafilmcriticscircle #Movies2023 #filmindustry #awardsseason #awardwinningmovies #Oppenheimer #PoorThings #filmcritic #criticsassociation #films2023

Some projects touch your heart and remind me of your brand purpose. WING Filmy Fridays’ debut short-film ‘Samaavesh’ is one such. Check it out on YouTube NOW!! #filmmakingworkshop #filmmakingworkshopk12 #creativitydevelopment #storytelling #schools #schoolworkshops #Imaginationnurturing #lightcameraaction #wing
Debuting on WING - World Imagination Nurturing Group Filmy Fridays is a short film called “Samaavesh”. The film addresses a sensitive and important topic of equality and inclusivity. Conceptualized, written, and directed by grade VI to XI students of Riverdale World School, Mahasamund, Samaavesh is special for many reasons. The most special being - it’s our first short film with a specially abled student, who played the lead character. That the final film warmed our hearts is an understatement. But here’s what touched us too - all students embraced and embodied the theme by devising innovative methods to ensure the “star” of the film could pour everything she had in her into her performance. Check out the full film on the WING YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/ddWh67Zp #wingfilmyfridays #filmmakingworkshop #shortfilmbykids #creativitydevelopment #creativitydevelopmentk12 #wing #imaginationnurturing #kidsmakingfilms #indianschools #practiceimagination #kidswing

Schools, education, learning, science, economics, finance, & entrepreneurship in India will possibly need to go through realism - revamp, before it produces results. We will possibly do a lot of local experiments and then the next Gen will need a trick or two, And then maybe in the next few years we may see results. Archana Parsai Gehlot is one such mother & professional who is pushing her limits in Indore. Take a look.

Can’t believe it’s been 7 years since we premiered Asmakam ‘s first short film - “The Lost Gift” . Universal power blessed us to receive national and international award for this very first effort. Honored to have this short film featured on two most meaningful platforms of the world as well- Karmatube (www.karmatube.org) and Films for action (www.filmsforaction.org) https://lnkd.in/fM-vrnS Since then this 6 mins film has touched millions of viewers and it gives me goose bumps when I receive calls and recognition from across the world on how this tiny efforts have been impacting mindsets. Famous Bollywood directors - Mansoor Khan and Nitesh Tiwari have enjoyed and much appreciated this simple 6min short film “Children are the best gift......Then? Abeer is a 9 yr old boy who is going through a lot in his daily life. He expresses his feelings in his diary and questions the beliefs and false expections. Abeer’s story will make us remember that our children are truly the best gift from God. A gift that we take for granted. A perfect gift that society tries to alter.” Atri Gehlot was only 12yrs when he did art direction, creating illustration cartoons for Abeer’s diary and narrating the story in his cute but deep voice. This effort also brought out #storyteller and #director inside me :)) Asmakam Life University Manish Gehlot Digvijay Choudhari Harish Narayanan Ayelet Baron Maitreyee Gehlot #sustainability #wellness #lifeskills

ARGYLLE is preposterous and messy, with more plot twists and jackknifes than the Fast & Furious franchise, but the good cheer of Bryce Dallas Howard and Sam Rockwell, over-the-top action, and zany choreography make this loopy spy caper fun enough if you let the lunacy roll. All of a sudden this old film, about the early days of that remote-viewing program, resurfaced…the CIA put pressure on NOVA to pull the film, since NOVA alone was the US copyright holder and only they could have accomplished such a complete disappearance. https://lnkd.in/gw__tPU7 #russelltarg #remoteviewing #CIAprogram #vintagedocumentary #bbcdoc #TEDSpeaker #consciousness #mindovermatter #ExploringTheUnknown #HiddenHistory #scienceandspirituality #expandedawareness #paranormalresearch #UnexplainedPhenomena #mysteriesofthemind #psychicabilities #TheSixthSense #alternativescience #biggerpicture #connectedness #humanpotential #documentaryfilm #mindbodyspirit #TEDxTalk #ThoughtProvoking #vintagefootage #Nova #ESPresearch
