As such, we have been supplying Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP) with its industry-leading lightweight and sustainable pallet net, Pallet Net Zero (PNZ), since 2013.   𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝘁 𝗭𝗘𝗥𝗢™ represents the future of securing more sustainable cargo transportation. We have revolutionised our world-leading pallet net to bring a product with unwavering quality and strength, that’s kinder to the planet. By harnessing the power of innovative Bio-Based Dyneema® fibre, a light material that decreases fuel consumption, reducing the carbon footprint.   Air France KLM Martinair Cargo is the first air cargo carrier in the world to fully convert its fleet to Pallet Net Zero. PNZ is one of the lightest nets available on the market being 59% lighter than traditional nets. This provides AFKLMP Cargo with considerable savings in both fuel and carbon emissions. It is so exciting that Delta Air Lines is making significant strides towards sustainability by introducing new paper cups on their transcontinental flights starting December 2023! 🛫 This move underscores Delta's commitment to innovation, progress, and a more eco-friendly travel experience. 🌱 Environmental Impact: 1. The transition will eliminate nearly 7 million pounds of single-use plastics annually, bringing Delta closer to minimizing such plastics on board by 2025. 2. Since 2022, Delta Air Lines has removed over 4.9 million pounds of single-use plastics annually. 🌐 Customized Paper Cups: 1. Years of development to create cups capable of handling hot, cold, and alcoholic beverages. 2. Delta collaborated with sustainability experts and supply chain partners to ensure customization. 3. Cups are compostable and recyclable, meeting strict international regulations. 🚀 Testing and Implementation: 1. Final testing set to conclude by spring 2024 on select flights. 2. Temporary return to traditional plastic cups during the transition period. 3. Together with Remon Versteijnen and Fred Hooft in front of our 100% electric truck to kick off our sustainable partnership with BTT Multimodal Container Solutions, in our aim to continuously drive positive change. In collaboration with BTT, we are introducing an electric truck for our brewery-to-terminal route. This move will reduce our annual CO2 emissions by 300 tons – equivalent to the yearly commute of 300 employees. It is great to see the commitment of our supply chain and logistics teams to improve every day, and seek innovative solutions to drive our circularity progress. While there is a long road ahead, these incremental changes collectively contribute to our overarching ambition: to pass on a fully circular business to the next generations. To realize this ambition we have to eliminate waste and pollution, circulate products and materials at their highest value, and ultimately regenerate nature. It requires a shift in mindset—from merely minimizing harm to actively improving the environment. Those of us in the test and measurement industry, do you know how much E-waste we generate per year? The numbers are staggering. With the rapid pace of change in telecommunications, transportation, and semiconductor testing, you can bet that test equipment gets outdated faster than your Zara blazer from last season. So where does it all go? I'm surprised that T&M companies don't actively address this. In the IT and server industry, there's already an established ecosystem for recycling and repurposing, partly because there's sensitive data that needs to be disposed properly, as well as hardware. Imagine if there was a service that took back your old T&M equipment and gave you credit towards new hardware? The refurbished hardware would be offered for sale again, but what if it could also be offered as a donation to schools who are short of funding? Save costs, decrease E-waste, and benefit society.
