Florida Fridays - LATAM Startups calling Miami new US HQ and new home. While Citadel, Apple, Microsoft are grabbing headlines with their campus development in Miami and expanding to our Sunshine State - making Florida ranked #5 with Economic Innovation Group (EIG) - there are numerous, perhaps less blockbuster headlines, where innovative companies from Latin America are making their somewhat quieter entrances into the US market via soft landing operators in Miami. The result is a 200% increase in overall Miami VC funding between 2021 - 2023 (nucamp). I had a great time meeting with one such operator, specializing in expanding innovative startups into Miami: Carlos Parra - Managing Director at Mana Tech LATAM). I had the opportunity to learn firsthand how Mana Tech through their Miami Immersion Program provides operational support to assist these businesses in soft landing. We are excited to explore areas of cooperation and assist all international IT companies entering the US market in complying with US laws, rules, and cybersecurity requirements through our PreCog Security, Inc. “Cybersecurity For Startups” program. If you are a startup, remember that the US clients, regulatory agencies, or even cyber insurance underwriters will have these criteria. More to come from Downtown Miami.
