Today the Greater Los Angeles Scouting Boy Scout council shared a post about me. This month I have become the District Commissioner of the Pio Pico District, which covers the Southeast Los Angeles County cities (other than Long Beach, Lakewood, and Bellflower which are in another council). District Commissioner is one of the key 3 leaders in the district and I lead a group of Unit Commissioners in helping scouting units as well as forming new scouting units.
Alex Begg is an Eagle Scout who has been assisted with all aspects of the Scouting program from the Cub Scouts, Scout BSA, and Venturing. As Pio Pico’s New District Commissioner, Alex brings his experience to the table and is always a huge help to both the district and council with his technical knowledge. Alex is extremely active and is always willing to lend a helping hand around Scouting, it’s no wonder he’s one of Pio Pico’s most recent District Award of Merit recipients.
