They are asking for donations of toys to be adapted, switches, and cash donations so they can buy toys to be adapted. There are families that may not be able to afford switch adapted toys during this holiday season. The Value of Selfless Service. Selfless service simply means putting others before your needs. It's that time of the year. I asked the wife what gifts the kids are getting this season. Her response was, why don't we buy them presents and they donate them? I embraced it wholeheartedly, as I am always open to any opportunity to teach the boys. Being selfless is one of those tools that I believe should be instilled in children. We both agreed to work with a budget of $20 while they (boys) choose a toy of their choice and donate it. It was hard for the boys to comprehend when we told them, but I must commend them for their choice of toys as it reflected their personality. It was a big test for me and the boys. I must confess, as the oldest asked for a kid's phone as his Christmas present. They gave a helping hand with wrapping the toys and I saw satisfaction in their being. Tru Selflessness is acting from a motivation to do the right thing. Being selfless is an important attitude to have as it shows compassion and empathy to others, forms connections and has a great love for others. When selfless service is practised with true intention. it teaches us mindfulness, and love, helps improve our relationship, and sense of peace and gives us new perspectives amongst others.
