I’m looking forward to joining #payments and #fintech experts for a panel discussion on “Careers in Payments: Trends and Opportunities” at the PayTech Women NYC Chapter LinkUp on Jan. 18. It's been an exciting ride in Payments over the last 19 years. The landscape has evolved tremendously but two things have and will always be a constant for me: #alwayslearning & #delivervalue. Huge THANK YOU to JPMorgan Chase & Co. leaders for hosting a wonderful #womensday2024 #womenhistorymonth event on The Future of Payment Products. This PayTech Women, formerly Wnet, North Texas, Paytech Women Chapter and Women In Product - DFW Chapter event brought together an amazing panel of industry stalwarts to share their journeys to the upper echelon of payments and banking. Some highlights: - Small pivots can lead to big gains; working across different domains such as finance, operations and back-office can help product owners be better business partners. - Product development in financial services is not only great ideas, rather, finding which ideas, good or great, have the most likely chance for adoption. Great ideas that don't have market fit fall down eventually. - Networking is CRITICAL. This was a big focus and we did breakout meet-and-greet sessions at the end, I was able to connect with some wonderful professionals including Kim Mejia, Shagun Qasba, Charlotte Sika, Rebecca C., Neetu Jain and reconnect with Jacqueline Murphy Friedman. Thank you to our fantastic leaders and panel participants Mani J., Serena Smith, Nicole Adair and fellow Discover Financial Services alums Jessica Young and panel moderator Sidra S. for this exceptional chat. #paymentsolutions #financialservices #fintech #paymentsproducts #bankinginnovation #paymentsinnovation

This week I want to talk about talent equity. In the financial services technology sector, do we pay fairly? Do we promote fairly, and do we recognise fairly? Advocating for yourself is super important when affecting inequalities, but advocating for others when in a position of privilege can make a huge impact. In this vein, we produced 'The Advocate Series.' Advice on how you advocate for others and advice on how you advocate for yourself. This week, see the episode on money: Isabel Pitt, Product Director and CTO at Shieldpay Will Marwick, CEO at IFX Payments Neha Mittal, VP Europe at Viola Credit Data helps so we produced a salary survey in which we review, pay, benefits and industry insights too. Walking the talk for inclusion in your workplace requires action on the now. Let's Listen, Let's Learn, Let’s WalktheTalk #fintech #inclusionanddiversity #genderpaygap #talentequity
