Way to go Team Alectra! This past weekend, our incredible employees raised $180,000 for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. For eight years, our dedicated riders have participated in @The Ride to Conquer Cancer, cycling over 200 km from Toronto to Niagara Falls to support life-saving cancer research and treatment. A heartfelt thank you to all our riders and supporters who made this possible. Together, we are one step closer to a cancer-free future. This weekend, the #VeloSano Bike to Cure celebrates its 10th year. Truax Law supports the VeloSano and one of our own, Patrick J. Ertle, Esq., who will ride on Saturday for his 10th year and is celebrating his own 33 years of being cancer free! Please consider contributing to the VeloSano through Pat's fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/gFmc5hYK The weekend kicks off with the annual VeloSano Day of Giving on Thursday, Sept. 7, rolls into the Friday Night Kickoff Party on Sept. 8, and culminates with rides & festivities all day on Saturday, Sept. 9. VeloSano launched in 2014 with the goal to create a future without cancer. In 9 years, over $37 million has been raised for cancer research!

I think the entire #linkedincommunity is at its best when focused on supporting others in the pursuit of goals. Do you agree? Gregory Bebbington, a dear friend and recent guest on #comfychairspodcast, has a BIG goal this year: ✨ Complete #pelotonia for the tenth year in a row—AND raise $10k to honor his late wife, Melissa. ✨ Let’s break it down: 🚴♂️10 endurance races is a big deal. (IYKYK) 💰Fundraising for a charity is a big endeavor. (#teamintraining alum here and I can vouch for it). 💞Sharing your why can be a big challenge. (We’ve all been there.) This is a chance to show up in big ways to support a great cause! Obviously, donations will go a long way, but there are so many ways to support a goal like this: ➡️ Amplify the cause—whether it’s Greg’s participation or someone in your own life. ➡️ Consider participating yourself. ➡️ Send your thoughts and prayers to everyone training for the race. (This is the right use for those!) ➡️ Take charge of your own health and get educated on cancer screening. Whatever way you can support, I know it will have a big impact!

Apologies for the personal post, but I'm sure I can be forgiven for this one. Some may know and many do no not that 10 years ago, I lost my amazing wife Melissa to Cancer. Every year since I have participated in the Pelotonia Bike Ride to raise money for THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY WEXNER MEDICAL CENTER, COMPREHENSIVE CANCER. This year being my 10th year riding I have committed to raising $5k as a "High Roller", but it would be wonderful to make that $10k for the 10th year. Please consider donating what you can.
