Fantastic article. It’s great to hear how you’ve been able to bring your leadership along to invest in the data foundation to support innovation. There is still a great deal of education needed across the industry and especially with those in finance to get the support needed to make these critical data investments. Where is that topic on the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) American College of Healthcare Executives Becker's Healthcare conference track? 🙃
As always, well said! I fully agree the quality of training and actively corrected data is crucial to AI success across the vast complexities of health systems. The risk/value likelihood/opportunity is equally important when balancing ethical and informed deployments. Identifying the adverse impact and likelihood of unintended consequences amongst standalone health and AI-assisted physician tools may determine when a few solutions are ready for engagement. The upside opportunities are certainly extraordinary when it comes to reducing physician burnout, reducing misdiagnosis rates, improving health, and delivering quantifiable value not only in the U.S. but across the world. Your thoughtful and encouraging insights are always inspirational. We indeed live in exciting times!
