Interns, we're celebrating YOU today 🥳 On this National Intern Day, we're sharing a handful of meaningful quotes and reflections from our U.S.-based interns who will be wrapping up their summer internships in two weeks. Later today, our interns will have the chance to participate in a virtual "Lunch with a Leader" with Albemarle's CEO, Kent Masters. It's been a fun, STEM-filled week at our Kings Mountain and Charlotte, NC sites! 👩🔬🧪 Our Women Connect employee resource group is a strong partner of Project Scientist, a national non-profit that provides STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) exposure to girls. This week, the Women Connect and Project Scientist are co-hosting a day camp for girls ages 7 to 12 for the second year in a row. Albemarle employees shared their experiences about being women in STEM, led hands-on activities and took the girls on a tour of our Kings Mountain facility. The Albemarle Foundation also gave a grant to Project Scientist to fund their programming. #STEM #GirlsInSTEM #WomenInSTEM

❓ Question: What is one way Albemarle is working toward a more sustainable and responsible use of resources? 🙋♀️ Answer: By designing innovative agreements with companies like Martin Marietta—which operates a quarry near our proposed Kings Mountain Mine—to repurpose non-lithium bearing material from the mine to create construction aggregate for infrastructure, residential and nonresidential construction projects.
