Good progress and I believe (like every technology intervention) this will have its specific indications while requiring surgeon training / certifications and re-training. Also, because the main advantage of this tech is providing more precision and guidance, its combination with robotic surgery could deliver a much better outcome with a positive cost-effectiveness ratio, in some cases. The future is bright 📈

Looks neat…. But I would question the efficacy and accuracy. Anatomy changes and shifts depending on how the patient was positioned at time of scan compared to how the patient is presented at time of in office exam. Also, using static images to overlay onto dynamic objects (I.e the heart) introduces error. Good start for sure and I am sure there will be lots of opportunities to iterate and improve as time goes on.

1️⃣ Technological advancements (and AI-powered disruption) are unstoppable. To be competitive sustainably 2️⃣ while preserving a strong work ethos and sharpening the everlasting(?) skills of management (culture), communication, and innovation (creativity), 3️⃣ the sensible motto would be: "Be Agile (Without Sacrificing Integrity)".

I had an MRI done a few months back and I actually thought about doing something like this by writing a Java program that could do tri-linear bitmap interpolation on the X, Y and Z axis of the axial, sagittal and coronal images, and creating a composite rendering. But these guys took it further, way to go! Great minds do think alike...

The majority of surgery is merely a satanic ritual for money, a procedure that never addresses the cause of the condition.

Other advantage would be for the patient to understand the ailment and relate it with the suffering they go through, thereby providing much important feedback to doctors in deciding upon further course of treatment. Also this adds up in providing valuable research findings for the whole of medical fraternity.

Thanks for posting. Indeed a break through in the medical field. How can this now embark medical practitioners on this new journey? What is the percentage of adopters? Interestingly, we probably would have to wait for a another decade for this innovation to be spread across the medical field. For the benefit of future doctors and patients interesting journeys ahead. Hats off for the innovation.

Aja aja aja aja aja, Reggretably the technology in the medicine is not for people in poverty , is only for trump, biden, musk, bessos, macron ,putin, rockefeller, zuckeberg, etc, etc, etc, etc.

Even though I am not a Practitioner, still I have some experience in AR/ VR (Medical). I have seen VisualBody quite a bit. This seems to be a much more comprehensive effort. One small question, can it be used as a facilitating aid in Medical Curricullum. Is it meant only for Surgery or Academics (Surgery) as well
