This past May I completed my Master's Degree in Management at Harvard University. Growing up and with a formal background in fine art, I never imagined that I would end up on such a path, and I'm extremely grateful to the Harvard Extension School for providing working professionals like myself the opportunity to learn at one of the world's top business institutions. Going to school while working full time is a serious undertaking — at times I was sure it would bring me to a breaking point. However, one of the greatest lessons of my education was discovering new levels of capability along with focus, determination, and tenacity. In the end, I managed to finish with a Dean's Award for Academic Achievement. I'm filled with gratitude for the support from my husband, family, and friends, and for them putting up with my intensive focus on school. And I feel incredibly lucky to have a community of such talented classmates, mentors, and professors guiding me. I look forward to continuing to put my learnings into practice, and hopefully, having a greater impact in my contributions to the workplace, coworkers, society, and environment as a whole. #HESproud
