Do you think she’ll like it? As I’m 3D printing this valentines gift for my girlfriend, I started thinking about hands-on data analysis. Not just dashboards or bots answering questions through MS Teams, Slack or a communication tool, but could data actually be printed? And what about VR applications? A quick search showed how the American Chemical Society leverages 3D printed data to create tangible models of reaction progress surfaces; found that interesting. https://lnkd.in/gdVXxj_m …though once printed, data would get stale. Then there’s VR to solve that problem. Actually touching data in a virtual setting, beyond interacting with analytics on a tablet; the closest we have so far today in physical interaction with data. Force feedback, move data around, what-if scenario testing. Curious where VR goes and advancements into improving velocity in solving problems and advancing outcomes in the near future and where the raw data could be stored for fast throughput into a VR model.
