I am not the loudest person in the room. I don’t believe in fighting to be heard. Sometimes I’ll go an entire meeting without speaking. The person in your meetings doing the most talking isn’t necessarily: 💡 Smarter 🤝 Helpful ✅ Right They just take up the most space. Don’t discount your quieter employees. They’re not unengaged. They’re listening. Thinking. And, sometimes, waiting for others to shut the heck up. 🤭
And--I think a great facilitator ushers in all the voices and mental models at the table to make sure there are opportunities for space and airtime for everyone that wants it.
