The Power of Perseverance: Overcoming My Early Career Challenges Reflecting on my journey from a modest beginning in the steel plant industry to becoming a Project Manager for Ultra Super Critical Power Plants, I'm reminded of the incredible power of perseverance. As an Electrical Engineer, I embarked on a path that led me to pursue a PG Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering from the National Power Training Institute, New Delhi. It was a significant step, but I was far from being a top student. I was an average learner with big dreams and a deep-seated determination to succeed. One of the pivotal moments in my career was when I earned certification to operate and execute 210 MW and above thermal power plants. This opened doors to opportunities I had only dreamt of. Joining L&T was a turning point, where I had the chance to contribute to various projects, including those for NTPC and other private players. It was a learning curve filled with challenges, but it was precisely those challenges that helped me grow. However, the real highlight of my journey was when I became a part of the 2x1000MW Ultra Super Critical Power Plant Project Management Team at Toshiba, headquartered in Kawasaki, Japan. This experience not only expanded my horizons but also reaffirmed my belief in the value of perseverance. It was an incredible opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that have a lasting impact on society. My story is a testament to the fact that success doesn't always come easily. It's about overcoming early career challenges, maintaining unwavering determination, and continually pushing oneself to reach new heights. I share this not to boast but to encourage everyone, especially those who might be facing their own challenges. Remember, your journey may not start with fireworks, but with perseverance, hard work, and a relentless pursuit of your goals, you can achieve the extraordinary. Exciting News! I am thrilled to share that I have completed the Istec Vibration Category 1+ course, certified by Istec International B.V.! This rigorous training in vibration condition monitoring and diagnostics has equipped me with advanced skills and knowledge that I’m eager to apply in my professional journey. Throughout the course, I had the opportunity to delve into the following topics: 1. Principles of Vibration 2. Data Acquisition 3. Signal Processing 4. Condition Monitoring 5. Fault Analysis 6. Corrective Action 7. Equipment Knowledge 8. Acceptance Testing Each module was meticulously designed to provide a deep understanding of vibration analysis, predictive maintenance, and the practical application of these principles in real-world scenarios. The final exam and certification were the culmination of this extensive learning journey. This achievement is a significant milestone in my continuous pursuit of excellence in vibration analysis and predictive maintenance.
