Briefly quoted in this Newsweek article about TikTok and its possible ban in the U.S. https://lnkd.in/gAwH3Fna This is an existential event for so many creators that built both their audience and business on TikTok. Put aside the existing dynamic of algorithm changes or de-platforming, this is the entire platform a creator has put their blood, sweat and tears into plausibly going poof. I do think the road to TikTok actually going away is longer than many think but it's another lesson for the creator economy that controlling your destiny is key. Building direct relationships with your audiences, that you control, is required to actually succeed in the long-run. Kajabi creators use social media as fantastic platforms to build audiences but know that deeper experiences, connection and value is created when they are in the drivers seat and in an environment that puts them first.

After months of research and analysis, Kajabi’s State of Creators 2024 Report was published today. This year we wanted to find out what six-figure creators are doing differently to help them reach and sustain such healthy incomes. https://lnkd.in/gT_pUutt Our research team surveyed over 2,000 creators across five global markets, both those who have surpassed $100K in earnings and those who have not to try and get a better understanding of what separates the two groups. Here are some of the surprising — and not-so-surprising — findings from the report: 💰 Six-figure creators have at least five revenue streams (compared to lower-earning creators who have only two on average)  💸 Creators making more than $150K per year are more likely to have at least seven revenue streams 🎓 When it comes to digital products, 70% of six-figure creators said they made the most revenue from online courses  🤖 72% of six-figure creators use AI tools at least weekly (compared to only 54% of lower-earning creators) 📺 Six-figure creators depend on YouTube more than any other social platform. If they were to lose access to YouTube, 42% would lose more than $50K per year  ⏳ 40% of six-figure creators reached six figures in less than two years 💄 💪🏽 🎮 Beauty and lifestyle, fitness, and gaming creators are significantly more likely to hit six figures the fastest 🙃 60% of six-figure creators admit they’d consider working with brands that do not align with their values as long as the paycheck was big enough Based on our research, here’s my advice to rising creators who have a desire to reach six-figures: 1️⃣ Double or triple your revenue streams, and make sure digital products are at least one of them. Private online memberships are a great gateway into the digital products space 2️⃣ Use generative AI tools to help you get more content out faster. Just don’t forget to tweak that content to make it your own — you can never lose touch with your brand, your audience, and what makes your business unique 3️⃣ Once you find your niche, niche down even further, especially when it comes to a course, membership, or an online community.
