🌱 🤝 Modernizing plant breeding necessitates collaboration across multiple disciplines and partners. How can we make sure that this happens? Addressing that question, Prof John Derera, from CGIAR's #AcceleratedBreedingInitiative at #APBAConf2023 in Marrakech, explained that harnessing the collective expertise and resources essential for plant breeding can be achieved through collaborative platforms and the establishment of shared services 📢 "In Africa, CGIAR and NARES collaborate on the improvement of 15 breeding stations. We have assessed challenges, identified required resources, and evaluated where they are needed. However, to develop sustainable platforms and maintain shared services, we need continuous public-private collaboration and support. This is our next challenge!"
