🤩 Impact’24 delighted with its sheer scale (6 000 guests, 650 speakers), variety of content and networking opportunities 🚀 A fireside chat I enjoyed was one with Stefan Batory, co-founder and CEO of Booksy - the Polish online booking business entering new markets worldwide. To achieve this kind of scale we really have to think big, think global. I believe Polish entrepreneurs and their companies can be well positioned to do this - the talent is here. Global players are sourcing their talent in Poland, including on executive level. It’s about finding revolutionary ideas, adequate funding and having the right global mindset. 💡 One of the highlights was Esther Perel’s keynote. She shared that as a psychotherapist, she would never be invited to a business event like this one 10 years ago. Back then, the focus was on the bottom line, KPIs and only the “masculine” side of business. 🙋♀️ The shift that happened since has seen #psychologicalsafety enter the spotlight. We now want more connection, an environment where people can function and thrive long-term. 🧠 Food for thought: how „our unofficial resume” so the way we were raised impacts how we deal with all work issues. Our professional experience is definitely important but these core beliefs („you can rely only on yourself” vs „you can and should rely on others”) really keep impacting the way we work. 🐈 She spoke about “an another AI”, Artificial Intimacy and how technology impacts our relationships. “We can have a thousand virtual friends but noone to feed the cat.” 📱And something many of us experience daily: how both sides of the couple can sit in the evening after a hard day, scrolling on their phones, with the TV in the background and be seemingly together but so far from each other mentally. Our distracted attention leads to Ambiguous Loss. Let’s strive to be more #present. 👉 I highly recommend Esther’s work and podcasts for self insight and development needed in all of our lives. 👈 I have yet to watch Michelle Obama’s keynote speech online. Impact provided tens of opportunities to listen to varied speakers and its definitely one of the most interesting conferences currently in Poland! 🪩 The networking and fun side cumulated with the party by Mastercard till early morning with hundreds of guests on the dancefloor. Nice! ❤️ Thanks to everyone I had a chance to interact with and mingle, all the thought exchanges, insightful discussions and for our spontanious photoshoots 🙂 Justyna Demkowicz-Dobrzańska, Marta Zycinska, MBA, Katarzyna Gaweł, Aleksandra Karasińska m, Katarzyna Dębek, Agnieszka Filipiak, Pawel Jakubik, Mariola Belina-Prażmowska, Marta Mikliszańska, Aleksandra („Ola”) Sroka-Krzyżak, Sandra Bichl, David Roberts, Anita E., Aleksandra Petrykowska (she/her) 🇺🇦, Marcin Petrykowski, Tina Sobocinska, Angelika Lapeta, Bozena Lesniewska, Grazyna Rzehak, Dorota N.
