Last month, the US Army Reserve's 81st Readiness Division partnered with the South Carolina Army National Guard to host Operation Holistic Warrior where more than 40 Soldiers from across the Army Reserve and Army National Guard learned how to implement Holistic Health and Fitness, #H2F, into their busy training calendars. Due to the nature of our COMPO 2/3 training calendars, Holistic Health and Fitness will look different than Active Duty. The pilot team with the 81st Readiness Division is actively investigating how to efficiently and effectively roll out #H2F that makes sense for COMPO 3. What do you think an #H2F team would look like within a TPU unit?

Here is something never seen before in public that is in the US Army design chapter of 'Understanding the Military Design Movement'- the first "parent" of current Army Design Methodology (the three ball chart) that went into doctrine in FM 3-0, chapter 3, in 2010. Before then, there was Israeli Systemic Operational Design (SOD) that inspired the design movement in the US Army and USMC starting in 2003-2004... but below on page 182, we have Army Colonel Robert 'Bob' Johnson's first prototype design methodology created for TRADOC and the US Army. This version was lost and never seen publicly, creating a mystery of what occurred inside the Army from 2004-2010 concerning the SAMS school, various design prototypes, draft doctrinal chapters and more. My book explains all of this through extensive interviews and the presentation of never-before-seen graphics like this one on page 182. You can score a copy of my book on Amazon or at Routledge with an extra 20% off if you use the promo code AEVV23. https://lnkd.in/gnXQmNYc #design #army #military #militarydesign #innovation #creativity #complexity #strategy #leadership #newbook #education #facilitation #defense #security #warstudies #leadingchange #change #armystrong

THIS is leadership in action! 👏👏👏 The US Army is eliminating ~346 hours of redundant, antiquated, or unsupportive warfighting and lethality training! From Sergeant Major of the Army (SMA) Mike Weimer 👇 "𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆: To meet the Chief of Staff of the Army's intent of eliminating training which is redundant, antiquated, or doesn’t support warfighting and lethality, the U.S. Army has determined it will 𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙭𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝟯𝟰𝟲 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 𝙤 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙉𝘾𝙊𝙨. An analysis determined these courses were redundant and/or antiquated when assessed against current training requirements and needs. Enlisted courses being eliminated are Distributed Learning Courses (DLC) I–VI (formerly known as Structured Self Development (SSD) I–VI), they account for 253 hours or 31 days. Officer courses being eliminated are the Distance Learning Prerequisite for Commanders Career Course and the Distance Learning Prerequisite for Commanding General Staff Officers Course (P920), these account for 93 hours or 12 days. 164 hours of prerequisite Distance Learning Courses remain and are currently under analysis for potential elimination in the future. An ALARACT message will publish later today detailing full information on this change. This We’ll Defend!" #Leadership #Military
