Her definition of true optimism as an "active conviction to make things better" struck a chord. We often think of optimism as just a sunny outlook, but Gates emphasizes the crucial role of action. It's about actively driving positive change, even when faced with adversity. This feels far more empowering and impactful. The metaphor of the "small wave" guiding the "big wave" during life's turbulent moments was fantastic. Seeking out wise voices with different perspectives is such valuable advice, especially for young graduates entering a constantly evolving world. Those insightful mentors and fresh viewpoints are crucial for navigating major life shifts. Her call for "radical openheartedness" in the face of change, rather than fear or resistance, is profound. Openness fosters adaptability, growth, and the ability to discover new paths. In our rapidly changing world, that willingness to embrace change is more important than ever. Finally finishing my Bachelor degree in Science

#UCDavis announced that it recently moved up the list of Top Public Universities to “Number 6 among the nation’s top public universities — a significant achievement driven by our research, teaching and service mission”. CONGRATULATIONS‼️🎉🎈 Now take it a step further, UC Davis has the ONLY four-year #InclusiveCollege program in the UC system. Students with #IntellectualDisabilities living and learning and working on the UC Davis campus with their same-age peers…and the experience impacts the undergrads and grad students in a positive way. So, all those accolades are legit. UCDavis has found a ground-breaking way to expand and serve one of the most vulnerable student populations in our country…and while it was doing that, it moved UP in rankings. The other Top Five…what are they doing for the most vulnerable? Maybe that should be the question we ask when we are ranking universities? #CollegeRankings #ChooseToInclude
