The Guided Customer Help - SAP SuccessFactors Support Assistant Tree, which offers guided customer help, has just been released. It will improve customer experience and save customer’s time when opening a ticket with SAP. The primary goals of this service are to assist customers and to deflect tickets. Based on the keywords used in the incident description, the customer would be presented with a wide range of matching KBAs, the Guide, and links to the Community Portal while creating a ticket. The customer may use the available KBAs to help them address the problem without having to contact SAP! Additionally, the customer can use the Built-In Support option and the keyword search to input data while using the Bizx system to grasp associated capabilities. A vast array of information will be displayed via Knowledge Base articles or any other pertinent links. The built-in Support is assisted in retrieving the relevant results and displaying the data within the Bizx system by the Guided Customer Help - SAP SuccessFactors Support Assistant Tree. To make things as easy and logical as possible, the trees have been combined with potential queries and suggestions. To make sure that the customer’s results are particular to the problem statement, the KBAs have also been updated and expanded upon regarding the Keywords. All of the SuccessFactors modules have access to this feature. Is your team handling multiple hotlines and is tired using manual ways for resource planning ? we were too until the Hotline Dashboard, a significant development by our team, SAP ABAP Release Engineering Services (ARES) under the leadership of Mohana Priya L. This innovation has transformed the way we manage diverse hotlines including Customer Hotline, Internal Hotline, Developer on Duty (DOD), Cloud Member on Duty (CMOD), and many others.   Previously, managing these varied hotlines through tools like Excel was a cumbersome task. In response to this challenge, we created the Hotline Dashboard to streamline our operations across the locations. This smart tool is now being utilized by ARES worldwide to efficiently maintain these varied hotlines.   These are some of the tool features used day in and day out : 1.Overview page: Offers a comprehensive list of hotlines along with the respective primary and backup responders from different locations. 2. Triggering e-mails: It empowers admins to initiate preference emails, send reminders, send calendar blockers to hotliners and their backups at one click. 3. Hotline Preference: Hotliners enjoy the convenience of recording their preferences with ease based on their availability. 4. Preference Cycles: Acknowledging the unique requirements of different hotlines, the tool offers manifold Preference Cycles such as Daily, Weekly, Monthly and No Preference. 5. Distribution list: It allows admin to designate the Distribution list for each hotline, facilitating auto-assignment of hotliners. 6. Reporting Bugs: Furthermore, it includes features to report bugs swiftly and effortlessly. We also are looking into aspect of making it more intelligent in the future.   With the introduction of the Hotline Dashboard, the need for maintaining Excel sheets and manually sending emails and calendar blockers has become a thing of the past. Can I shift my career to SAP or Salesforce, which has more growth in career? It is important to know the differences between SAP and Salesforce SAP is an ERP and its span includes the whole business - Sales, Warehouse, Finance, Procurement, Production, Customer service etc. Its newer modules include CRM (Sales, Service, Marketing), SRM, APO, SCM, FSCM (Finance), Cloud for Customer (again CRM). SAP is programmed in ABAP. Fiori is a user interface solution by SAP. UI5 is another UI solution from SAP (it includes CSS3, HTML5, Javascript). Salesforce is a CRM solution with Sales, Service and Marketing. It is a cloud based solution. Salesforce is programmed in Apex. Any new salesforce apps are written in apex. Only from a CRM perspective, Salesforce is a better solution than SAP. It has got the higher revenue share compared to SAP's CRM and C4C. It is the market leader in CRM. SAP however, is the market leader in ERP's. It's CRM solution is catching up (it is still number 2 behind Salesforce). My advice : if you want to make a career in CRM, then go for salreforce. However, if you want to also work in other areas (Sales and Distribution, Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, etc) choose SAP. SAP will always have the business ecosystem with it. In terms of growth, both have growth (in terms of salaries). However, Salesforce has taken the plunge into cloud computing earlier than SAP. SAP is catching up though, and in time, it's Cloud offering will have the cloud based functionality that other Vendors have. SAP consulting salaries are high these days. In India, they pay 1.5 to 2 X your years of experience ( eg. someone with 5 YOE makes 10 LPA). In Infosys, TCS cognizant HCL etc the salaries and hikes are low. Salaries grow (20–40% optimistically). So even this equation does not hold true for many SAP consultants here. Very few consultants make 5 X and 8X their YOE. 30–60 LPA salaries in SAP IS not rare. Making more than 60 lpa is more rare. These salaries are usually for senior delivery managers. And those positions are hard to get into and take decades of experience. Even Sales force consultants don’t make much more money than SAP consultants.
