Advokids is seeking your support of the amended version of Assembly Bill 3049, authored by California Assembly member #IsaacBryan and sponsored by Advokids to ensure judicial oversight of minors' counsel and protect the rights of dependent children to competent representation by their court-appointed lawyers. We are delighted to report that an amended version of the bill was passed by the CA State Assembly on May 22 and has just been referred to the CA State Senate. We need your help to secure Senate approval of #AB3049. Please act now as we need your signature on our coalition letter of support to the CA Senate Judiciary Committee no later than 12 PM TOMORROW, JUNE 11TH. So sorry for the incredibly quick turn around required but the Judiciary has not set a firm hearing date so Issac Bryan's office would like the letters submitted tomorrow on the chance that the hearing will be held next week. Kaiden had lived with Gail since birth when a step-aunt who had no prior relationship or blood ties to Kaiden sought placement of Kaiden.
