Reunification month gets lost in the other celebratory months because it’s viewed as the expectation. It’s not considered an act of “going above and beyond.” Reunification month is the most important month. Parents facing themselves, having uncomfortable conversations and experiences, accepting responsibility for their actions, and overcoming adversity. Their children working through circumstances outside of their control, building stronger bonds with their families to understand grace, love and compassion. This doesn’t get recognition because what’s the picture to be posted on social media? What do you say about these folks who did this work? Our system doesn’t recognize them as “heroes” because it’s what we are supposed to do. WV subsides adoptions from foster care a great deal. Minimum $700 per month until the child turns 18 plus a Medicaid card. When a child is reunified, they don’t get any support. The case is closed. They get Medicaid if the qualify for Medicaid. Milestones should be celebrated not shamed. I’m glad to see more recognition for reunification.

Cultural Sensitivity: With a deep respect for diversity and cultural traditions, chaplains honour and integrate the beliefs and practices of various faiths and backgrounds, ensuring inclusivity and sensitivity in end-of-life care. 5. Collaborative Care: Chaplains work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and counsellors, to address the multifaceted needs of patients and families comprehensively. In essence, chaplains serve as pillars of strength and compassion, illuminating the path through life's final chapters with grace and dignity. Their presence enriches the end-of-life experience, fostering peace, comfort, and spiritual fulfilment for all involved. This scene paints the picture of cherished moments that many of us hold dear.   Now imagine you are taken from your home and those your love and forced to live with strangers to never see your family again. February 13 marks National Apology Day in Australia, a day of solemn reflection and recognition. It commemorates the National Apology to the Stolen Generations, a profound acknowledgment of the historical trauma inflicted by forced child removal policies. Driven by assimilation policies, these removals aimed to integrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children into a predominantly white society. The pain and suffering endured by the Stolen Generations, their stories shrouded in silence for years, are now bravely shared as symbols of resilience and strength. Today, we stand in solidarity with Stolen Generations survivors, honouring their resilience and inviting all Australians to join the healing journey. It's a time to foster remembrance, understanding, and collective healing, building a future grounded in unity and reconciliation. As we observe this National Apology Anniversary, let's reflect on the stories of resilience that have emerged from adversity.
