Kerry @kerrytepedino wants women to ask themselves: - Who do I want to be? - What do I want my life to look like? You’re one thought away from changing your life today, or not. You’re one thought away from changing that inner toxic conversation with yourself today, or not. (Kerry Tepedino). Through the mastery course, Kerry teaches women to: Change their inner narrative and negative or toxic conversation to something more positive and constructive. Achieve emotional mastery by understanding how to self-regulate and not be reactive to life. Improve their relationships with themselves to make sure that they are living in alignment with their body and mental state instead of mindlessly living day-to-day. Becoming and staying present with themselves to not eat, shop, or scroll mindlessly and to be intentional with their choices and not escape reality. Overcome stigma in mental health, and teach women that they can be the heroes in their stories. To know more listen to the latest podcast: https://lnkd.in/ge-F6MUp

In "Cancel the Filter," I openly discuss the temptation of chasing numbers and monetization. 💰 But I share stories that reveal the deeper purpose behind my choices. Yes, we all need to make a living and support our families. However, for endeavors like the podcast, it's vital to remember our "why." 🤔 Our true motivation lies in destigmatizing mental health and fostering vulnerability within underrepresented communities. 🌈 By listening to these stories, we hope to make reaching out for help less intimidating. 🤗 Repost this if you want to learn more about destigmatizing mental health and the importance of vulnerability. Logan Mallory was so incredibly insightful! Logan talks about cycles. In life coaching, we recognize a cycle follows this kind of pattern: Trigger in the environment: This could be the weather, something someone says or does. Interpretation: We interpret the trigger. For example, if my 4 yo kid throws food, I may think, "I've told them not to throw food! They shouldn't throw food!". Emotional reaction: We could feel angry or frustrated. Motivated Action: Our emotion motivates a reaction, in this case, I might yell at my kid "Don't throw your food! We've talked about this!!!" I might then come over and grab my kid roughly and point to where the food is. "Now go pick that up!" Result: I teach my child that their in danger when I'm upset. I create distance and additional emotional barrier or dysregulation. What I love about what Logan teaches is recognizing the cycles and that it only takes one person to disrupt a cycle. How? By realizing how we're interpreting the trigger and the foundational beliefs that undergird that interpretation. We can go to believing "My child is learning how not to through food, I can I can help them." Feeling: patience, acceptance, Actions: I might ask my child why they threw the food, I might look to see why, but in a much more calm and non-threatening manner. I connect rather than threaten. Result: I'm much more likely to understand why my child is throwing food and be able to teach them how not to. More importantly, I show up how I want to as a parent.

How I've improved my mental health? Noticing when I'm in a "cycle" and then choosing to slow down so I can be more intentional. Changes everything in my interactions with others. Thanks to Joseph Neary, M.Ed, EMBA for inviting me to be on The Emotional Man Podcast where I shared a ton about my journey as a Tech Executive working to improve his mental health and family relationships.
