Walmart is making moves in 2023, folks! They have plans to launch their first shoppable video series—a holiday-themed romantic comedy called “Add to Heart”—on Roku, TikTok, and YouTube. (according to eMarketer) Shoppable live streams aren't new for Walmart, as you may have seen on "Below Deck Mediterranean", but creating its own rom-com sure is. It is a strategy that other retailers are adopting, like Home Depot's series that showcases how to use their products to decorate your home for the holidays. This format is emerging, but seems to be heavily adopted so far. Where does my head go when I hear this? How are my partner's products, in similar categories, positioned to capitalize on an influx of traffic? It also goes to, I hope Home Depot's series has tutorials for those of us that are lacking decorative grace. 😁 #advertisingandmarketing #innovation
