In Montenegro, there is a huge interest in the construction of small solar power plants on the ground. To date, only one has been put into operation of 4.5 MW, but that's why almost a hundred investors are still waiting for a permit. However, the existing distribution network has been built to provide power to end users and not in the part of new energy sources and new producers and disproportionately large interest. In order for everyone to be connected to the distribution network, at least EUR 15 million must first be invested in new infrastructure, and the current situation leaves little room for new projects.

Interesting analysis from James Gibson on the progression of consenting status for #solarprojects in Scotland - clear evidence of the increasing importance of #solar as part of the #renewableenergy mix in Scotland.
Solar - with an ambitious 4-6GW 2030 target expected in this summer's energy strategy, where are we at on major solar consenting in Scotland? 1️⃣5️⃣ s36 projects registered with the ECU 6️⃣ projects determined 💯% consent rate 0️⃣ inquiries 1️⃣2️⃣ ½ months - average determination timescale 4️⃣0️⃣ years most common operational life 📈 trending up site size: c100ha (red line) average on consented projects. c300ha on projects at screening. 2️⃣ projects subject to EIA 0️⃣.5️⃣GW operational. 1️⃣GW in pipeline (planning/consented/construction). NPF4️⃣ 🤜 express support for solar and (some!) pragmatism re weighing the urgent need for renewables against locational sensitivities. Plenty still to overcome. But an exciting time for solar in 🏴

#SolarEnergy | Discover the Brazoinves solar project in Ciudad Real, Spain. Omexom in Spain was responsible for the design, engineering, construction of this #photovoltaic solar plant, which started in April 2023 and was completed last December. 🔧 The solar plant features 69,440 modules in total, including 34,888 PV modules of 545Wp and 34,552 modules of 550Wp, spread across 73 hectares. ☀️⚡ Omexom and Q ENERGY collaborated on the development of safety systems, monitoring, and the PPC (Power Plant Control), which provide controlled access and real-time monitoring of the facility's status, ensuring efficient and #safe operations. Additionally, as an innovative feature, two weather stations have been installed at the plant to ensure the measurement of environmental variables, for the forecasting and protection of the technological equipment present. The development of this project by our Omexom teams exemplifies the successful transition of Spain's electrical supply to renewable energies.🌎 📄 Read the article here (Spanish) 👇 https://lnkd.in/e7WkebUc Omexom Spain VINCI Energies #EnergyTransition #RenewableEnergy #solarpower

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝗻 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗭𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗥 𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗢 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 BlueNewables, a Spanish engineering consultancy supporting the marine energy sector, is moving forward with its floating solar demonstration project in Valencia with the first round of contacts with main suppliers finished. The design optimization for Valencia sea conditions is also completed and the main outcome is a remarkable steel weight reduction and levelized cost of energy (LCOE) reduction targets are on the right path to be achieved, the company said. In addition, the detail design stage has been initiated which will see hundreds of advanced simulations, drawings, and design reports performed over the next five months. Construction of the project is planned to be initiated by the end of the second quarter of 2024. BlueNewables’ proprietary technology PV-bos will demonstrate its reliability for two years in Valencia’s waters. The project is supported by The Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy (IDAE. Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía) as part of the Renmarinas program. Spain. Greenfield solar PV and BESS projects General: We offer collaboration in the development of solar energy and energy storage projects in Spain. The initial investment is very low and aims to capture electricity capacity in the local grid. The projects will undergo a carefully calculated slow investment process, accompanied by a local engineering office, with the aim of reaching a "ready for execution" state, from which a decision can be made regarding sale or establishment and operation. Workflow: we provide options for the greenfield projects where we have checked that a grid connection is possible. Spanish energy legislation establishes the need to provide a financial guarantee or surety bond to process the application for access to electricity production (Grid connection bond). *We have checked Capacity Network available; *We search for land close to SET; *Negotiation with land brokers: for getting land; *Opportunity to rent land; *Environmental impact pre-analysis: Identification of NO affections of the land Taking into account: environmental affections, distance to SET access, Type of land, Cost of land and connection, lines etc,; *Generated Economic and financial feasibility studies. process: We need to create the SPV for Investor, secure land under this SPV, bonds and connection project. Voltalia Begins Construction of 49.9 MW Paddock Solar Project in the United Kingdom Voltalia, a renewable energy giant, has started constructing a 49.9-MW photovoltaic power plant in South East United Kingdom. The project is expected to meet the annual electricity consumption of over 14,385 average UK family homes and reduce the emission of 35,681 tonnes of CO2 annually. Production is expected in the second half of 2025. The electricity will be available for purchase under long-term Corporate PPAs. “Voltalia has a portfolio of seven solar and storage facilities in operation or under construction in the UK with a total capacity of 260 megawatts. Our pipeline of future projects will fuel growth in the country, as well as service activities for third-party customers”, said Sébastien Clerc, CEO of Voltalia. 25.7.2023 Solar Projects in Macedonia 1. For the past few years, we have been operating in Macedonia through an established and professional Israeli engineering office. 2. An Israeli engineer and representative are based in Macedonia, working with local entrepreneurial and engineering entities. 3. All of these entities have potential partners and investors to identify, assess, develop, and transfer projects for potential collaboration with partners/potential buyers. 4. We have projects at various stages, including early development, approximately 90% "ready for execution," and also ongoing projects. 5. Projects that are ready for execution are sold in the market at prices ranging from 150,000 to 190,000 euros per megawatt, subject to: a) Project readiness in terms of planning and building permits. b) Approval of connections. c) Radiation level. d) Yield. e) Sales agreements. f) Project size. g) Distribution. h) Distance to the grid connection. i) Geographical and other components. j) Estimated cost of the land (usually the land is offered for sale, though some projects offer land for lease). k) The return on investment is around 14% and depends on the developer's capability and the local bank. l) Data: i. Radiation: approximately 1400 hours ii. EUR/MWh: 140 6. Example Project No. 1: i. Location: Macedonia ii. Capacity: 3.6 MW (2.4 MW + 1.2 MW) iii. Distance from the grid: Kilometers iv. Price: 182,000 euros (including ready-to-execute land). Final approval expected next week. 7. Example Project No. 2: v. Location: Macedonia vi. Capacity: 5 MW vii. Price: 210,000 euros (including ready-to-execute land). Ready for immediate execution. Eng. Ezra Nisim - C.E.O Entrepreneur. Reshet Eshkolot .
