My Equitable Ops leadership team has been working through selected exercises in Lily Zheng’s Reconstructing #DEI. This week, we talked through our reflections to #14 Determine Your Power. Ya’ll, it was *so* interesting (doesn’t hurt that our team is fully of wildly interesting, thoughtful people). We reflected on what’s types of power are comfortable for us, how we have and use different forms in different contexts, and saw how we could lean on each other in the context of our roles. This is why I absolutely love this work book. Only 2 of the people on the team are technically in DEI jobs. But the lessons Lily has crafted are relevant, imho, for all leaders. This sounds like a great exercise! It's amazing to see how different forms of power can be utilized in various contexts.
