Curate Digital Services and Solutions | Digital Transformation | AI & Data Consulting | Talent Services | Healthcare & Finance
This Feature Friday I'm not featuring a person or company instead I am featuring an industry-wide trend. Modern Healthcare published an article called "Why health systems are dropping their IT teams". The article details the experience of a few health systems in moving to "workforce on demand models". What this means is organizations are outsourcing their IT operations to managed service providers (Like Curate Partners 😉) in order to deploy IT projects more efficiently while saving on costs. The analogy used in the article compares workforce on demand to cloud services. You can scale up as you undertake more projects and scale down as projects finish. I am excited to see the expansion of projects like this. When done correctly it can be a win-win-win situation. The organization is able to deploy more projects efficiently with lower cost, patients receive improved quality of care and customer experience, and employees are able to work efficiently on meaningful projects with little down time. When a project ends they are able to move on to the next supporting another health system. If anyone is interested in learning more about this model or how Curate supports healthcare organizations feel free to reach out. Let me know what you think about the future of IT in healthcare ⬇ #healthcareit #outsourcing #projectmanagement

The recipe for a successful implementation of a new client's digital health program involves a dash of effective communication and a generous helping of teamwork. 🥄 Understanding Scope: Have open and detailed talks to really get what the client thinks they are getting. 🥄 Setting Expectations: Clearly lay out what the client can expect during the implementation process – the timeline, milestones, and any potential hiccups. 🥄 Stakeholder Involvement: Identify the main people involved on the client's side and keep them in the loop. Regularly chat with them to get insights and solve problems. 🥄 Feedback Loop: Make sure there's a way for the client to tell you what's working and what's not. Ask for feedback on customization, user experience, and any bumps in the road. 🥄 Problem Resolution: If issues pop up, deal with them quickly and openly. Tell the client about challenges and work together to find solutions. 🥄 Training and Support: Train users well and keep supporting them. Let the client know when training is happening, what resources are available, and how they can get support. 🥄 Configurability and Flexibility: Explain how much the program can be configured. Be open to feedback that reflects the client's specific needs and preferences. 🥄 Data Security and Compliance: Be clear about how data is kept secure and follows healthcare rules. This builds trust. 🥄 Regular Updates: Keep the client in the loop regularly. Share updates on what's been achieved, what's coming up, and any changes to the plan. 🥄 Post-Implementation Follow-up: After the initial setup, make a plan of how to give and get feedback on how the program is doing, and sort out any issues together. Whisking together openness and teamwork creates the perfect recipe for a successful implementation of a digital health program. #DigitalHealthRecipe #TeamworkWins #ImplementationSuccess

Hospitals and health systems continue to face headwinds from clinician burnout, member abrasion, and tight and often negative margins. Fragmented #technology systems adversely impact performance visibility, accountability and consumer experience. Higher performing health systems have successfully turned headwinds into tailwinds by drawing inspiration from other industries' successful adoption of enterprise-level solutions. Adopting platform integration as an enterprise business model enables process standardization and scalability of performance optimization. So doing positions the business to unlock value for the consumer and the provider, and to drive margin improvement for the business. https://lnkd.in/gRC96UFa #PhysicianEnterprises #HealthcareTransformation #EYCenterForHealthEquity #EYNexusForHealth Sumitro Sarkar Dan Galdenzi

Let’s move from ‘system of records’ to ‘systems of engagement’. 😇 Nowadays, corporate IT is focusing heavily on architecture, infrastructure, legal and compliance, and non-functional requirements in an ongoing push to take fewer risks when introducing new technology. While this is definitely part of the ‘metier,’ it has grown beyond its bounds. Digital health is still too often seen as a set of risks to mitigate, regardless of the opportunity cost. Moving away from rigid structures makes more impact. 💯 A huge challenge among today’s healthcare actors is that they aren’t organized to achieve ‘systems of engagement’. It’s not a fair fight. Everyone knows how to make things stable, secure, and safe. But what does it mean to have “engagement,” and how do you optimize for this? 🤔 Right now, It’s just not efficient. Loads of money are spent on ensuring it’s safe, secure, stable, scalable, etc, without someone looking after the actual use, adoption, and outcome. As an HCP stakeholder, you must focus rigorously on patient engagement. If you’re building anything in digital health, your calendar should focus 80% on optimizing patient engagement and 20% on non-functionals. To improve patient engagement, we must look beyond the product and tech. Focus on launching experiments at a high pace to learn how patient engagement works for your case and audience. The solution won’t be exclusively digital. Consider the complete patient journey (e.g., office reopening). The entire system must work together, with digital playing a crucial role in stimulating engagement. P.S. Below is a sales asset that Pieter and I use to demonstrate the power of 'systems of engagement'. 💪 #systemofrecords #systemsofengagement #patientcare
