We watched Minnesota win the inaugural #PWHL championship last night. Within 5 minutes after the game, we dropped some serious money to get championship merch for the whole family. There's an immense opportunity for companies to capture young minds' loyalty--as well as that of their parents (emotional purchases are a real thing!)
A couple of years ago my oldest daughter was on a team that was sponsored by Under Armour, and guess what brand we NEVER miss on our shopping trips? The company gets some of my money every time either of my two kids need new clothing or shoes, or we need some casual wear. This family is loyal to Under Armor for supporting our daughter's team.
I'm not going to name names of possible sponsorships that can prosper by putting their support behind PWHL. I'm not going to site how much purchasing power women have--it's significant.
I AM going to mention names of the companies that are ingrained in my mind because they're supporting PWHL and the dreams of many girls. Bravo to PWHL sponsors--Air Canada, Scotiabank, Discover Financial Services, Hyundai Motor Company (현대자동차), Bread Financial, Barbie, Canadian Tire Corporation--you're noticed! And you will be seeing new customers whenever we have a choice where to spend our money!
Looking forward to when this "PWHL AD BREAK IN PROGRESS" will actually feature some amazing ads!
