Like everyone in the Sydney communities and across the world, we are deeply saddened by the violence and the tragic loss of life that occurred at Bondi Junction on 13 April. Among the victims was a Chinese international student from the University of Sydney; a member of the international students community.
On behalf of our members within the community of university students and young professionals in the Australia-China space, Australia-China Youth Association and Australia-China Young Professionals Initiative would like to jointly extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families, friends, and loved ones. We stand united in solidarity with all of you during this difficult time.
We also commend the exceptional bravery of first responders from the members of the public, the police and ambulance services who have responded with courage and resilience in this horrific situation.
