Our collaboration with LGBT+ VC is here! Together we have released a limited run of human-designed and robotically-created paintings. These two pieces, designed by emerging non-binary artist Sie Douglas-Fish, are reflective, yet celebratory; looking back on queer history and its conjunction with art. Other pieces from this series will be gifted to the collections of the Museum of Arts and Design and the American LGBTQ+ Museum - so you will truly own a piece of history. If you want to know why I joined the GLSEN board, this video should explain the reasons and how you can help too.
33 years ago, in response to the boldness and bravery of queer youth in schools, GLSEN was founded by a group of teachers. As of today, we have reached millions of students across the country. Thank you to our community of advocates and allies for rising up and showing up for LGBTQ+ Youth. It’s people like you who are making history.

Can't wait to get this book! Will be very interesting to read.
LGBTQ Denver by Phil Nash, to be released by Arcadia Publishing on April 22, 2024, is a pictorial history documenting the development of Denver's LGBTQ community, primarily from the 1970s forward. Featuring nearly 200 images curated from historical archives, organizations, amateur and professional photographers, and the author's own collection, LGBTQ Denver tells a visual story about a midsize Western city's evolution from its repressed and closeted past to its status today as one of the most LGBTQ-friendly cities in North America.

As a very proud mother of a gay daughter, I’m celebrating Pride 2024 - it’s an opportunity to come together in love and friendship, as well as a moment to reflect on past struggles and ongoing efforts required to achieve true equality. Fostering an LGBTQ+ inclusive and supportive workplace is so important. And the advantages go beyond ensuring that everyone of all sexualities and gender identities feel safe, supported, valued and included – it enhances business productivity and profitability. “The case for establishing a truly diverse workforce, at all organizational levels, grows more compelling each year….The financial impact—as proven by multiple studies—makes this a no-brainer.” Havard Business Review Nov-Dec 2020
CIRO stands with the LGBTQ+ community for Pride Month. “We should indeed keep calm in the face of difference, and live our lives in a state of inclusion and wonder at the diversity of humanity.” – George Takei

Trans rights are human rights
River Navaeh Goddard, who also went by their chosen name Phoenixx, deserved to live a long and fulfilling life- all trans and nonbinary youth do. At just 17-years-old, the nonbinary teen from Massachusetts had their whole life ahead of them. They deserved to be loved, to be supported and to feel safe-all LGBTQ+ youth do. We must continue to fight to protect all LGBTQ+ youth and combat the violence against our community.

🌈#HeritageProject in Focus✨today is Perverse Collections. Funded by the JPI CH, it asks how can a critical and nuanced understanding of the evolution of Europe's LGBTQ+ archives be used by scholars, queer and trans community members, and GLAM (Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums) sector workers to forge sustainable strategies for protecting LGBTQ+ history, and in what ways might this have transformative potential for cultural heritage politics and policy more broadly? 👉 https://lnkd.in/eYihB_sR

Here’s a useful statistic from the HRC’s 2024 Black LGBTQ+ Youth Report: almost half of the Black LGBTQ+ youth population lives in the South. When we write off the South, we are writing off the largest segment of our Black queer youth. We can’t simply dismiss the South as irrelevant — our future depends on it.
