Got my hands on a Zimmer Group gripper for some trials. However, it needed a little modification to get the right grip and the best range of movement from the Universal Robots UR10e. So, with a little spare extruded aluminium and a couple of Vention brackets, it was mounted at 90 degrees to the robot flange. Secured with a Millibar Robotics quick release system. #robotics #roboticapplication #automation #development Woodworking Robotics

Legs, wheels, propellers or something else? To move a robot, one or more of the options above are needed. But the truly valuable question is : in what kind of environment the robot is mainly used? Is it a relatively clean and flat industrial factory setting where the environment is mostly organized and standardized? Or does it include different surface textures and hardnesses, variable obstacles or even different viscosities? Each way of implementing movement has its optimal usage cases and environments. Think where the robot will be mainly used and then choose from the available options. In some cases mixing several of them is the way to go while in some cases it's clear which way is the most suitable for the task. Design purpose first. Want more similar posts like this? 🤖Robotics Saturday🤖 ❗Robots paint BMW M4❗ BMW Group Plant Dingolfing is using an innovative overspray-free painting process that allows for several paint colors and designs to be applied without stencils or masking the vehicle. This not only increases the degree of personalization for customers but also contributes to sustainability by reducing waste and energy consumption. The first cars to receive this treatment are the BMW M4 Coupés with custom two-tone paintwork and M4 identification on the bonnet and tailgate. The previous manual masking process required a lot of material and personnel costs, which are now eliminated with this new technology.
