Further exploring trompe l’oeil: customised jeans appear broken and patchworked together, elsewhere key chains and stacked belts adorn denim silhouettes. The women of #DC appear as femme fatales across the collection, in embroidery, patchwork or prints, as if scrapbooked or collaged. “Aren’t they cooler?” says creative director Jonny Johansson. “It’s about the dream of female superheroes being more mythical than the men.” © &™ DC (SS25) Photographer: Jordan Hemingway Stylist: Léopold Duchemin Model: Jordan Robson Hair: Tom Wright Make-Up: Regina Tornwall

A fascination with comic books; a clash of cuteness and rebellion. The #AcneStudios SS25 menswear collection is shot by Jordan Hemingway fronted by choreographer Jordan Robson. The collection features female superheroes from the world of #DC. “When you are young, you have that special passion for something. You kind of drag it along with you your whole life, and it comes in and out of your weave of life. Sometimes it’s stronger, sometimes it’s less, but there’s moments where you pull out that superhero t-shirt. As you get older and more mature, you start accepting your heritage in some way and you become proud of it. That’s who this guy is,” says creative director Jonny Johansson. © &™ DC (SS25) Photographer: Jordan Hemingway Stylist: Léopold Duchemin Model: Jordan Robson Hair: TomWright Make-Up: Regina Tornwall

Introducing the #AcneStudios SS25 Menswear collection. “What if this season’s character was a superhero?,” says creative director Jonny Johansson. “I think what’s interesting with clothing is that it can empower you. I can feel really strong just having the right clothing at the right moment. That’s a little bit what I’m trying to do here, you know, that’s why that empowering thing is kind of like – it has superpowers!” #AcneStudios SS25 Menswear is lensed by Jordan Hemingway starring choreographer Jordan Robson. ‘Nocturnal Dream Show’, a story rooted in surrealism pays homage to a pioneer in queer identity, the incredible counter culture artist Steven Arnold. Creative director and stylist Emman Debattista shares the inspiration behind the shoot lensed by Jordan Hemingway featuring FKA Twigs and Penelope Tree to name a few. ‘My favorite part would definitely have to be turning the iconic Vreeland muse Penelope Tree into a tree which I think is the most camp and surrealist part of the piece,’ says Emman.
