Back in 2009, while working in biotechnology research 🧬, I often wondered if sustainable solutions for disposable labware would ever become a reality. Fast forward 15 years, and I am thrilled to share that TripleW's awesome team has now purchased 96-well plates made entirely from renewable resources, thanks to Green Elephant Biotech 🌿. The growth of PLA bioplastics and their entrance into applications with demanding physical and optical characteristics is truly exciting 🌱✨. TripleW's Circulac is set to enter PLA production, transforming food waste into high-quality applications such as labware, and replacing fossil-based materials with upcycled PLA bioplastic ♻. Moreover, we are committed to working with PLA bioproducts at the end of their life cycle to fully close the loop and produce more Circulac 🔄. #CircularEconomy #ClimateChange #Bioplastic

It is an extremely busy expansion phase at Biochar Now LLC. Below is a photo of one of our two new biochar production facilities that are ready to begin operations with our patented biochar production technology in both Texas and North Carolina. Our vendors are also currently busy building additional production equipment as we are patiently working through the permitting process for several additional facilities in other states. After meticulously laying the ground work for growth over a long period of time, our growth curve is currently almost vertical. Exciting to see where our journey is taking us and how our company is making a real impact in many different areas of environmental sustainability. #biochar #biocharnow #carbonnegative #insuredcarboncredits #remediation #watertreatment #nutrientremoval #growth

Great example of Scimita Ventures' #criticalgapanalysis workshop powering the future of #cleanenergy innovation. All advances should be this joyous --thanks Mobin Nomvar PhD for sharing and Isabel Toasa and Chris Wilson for leading the way.
It was a genuine pleasure to connect with Isabel Toasa and Chris W. of EM ENERGY at the Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) event last evening. Great to celebrate their remarkable milestone as the newest addition to the TRaCE projects. Keep watching the journey of these two innovative founders as they advance their pioneering energy production technology from organic materials. Scimita is thrilled to be part of their support system. Our renowned Critical Gap Analysis workshop has already begun to yield fruit, and the positive feedback we received last night was really gratifying. Getting TRL/CRL correctly aligned is critical and the workshop has enabled them to take the first solid step towards synchronising the critical technical and commercial aspects of their venture. Watch this space! #innovation #cleanenergy #biofuels

⛰️🚩We did it! SEMPRE-BIO PROJECT team at BETA Technological Center (UVIC-UCC) Reaches Major Milestone! Today we’re celebrating a huge achievement! The team at BETA Technological Center UVIC-UCC has successfully demonstrated that it’s possible to turn CO2 into products that are better for the planet like biopolymers, biochemicals, and alternative protein sources. Here’s what we’ve been up to: 🔬In the Lab: We’ve been busy in the lab optimizing our processes at a small scale, refining how we produce biopolymers – a sustainable alternative to plastic – and organic acids through precision fermentation. This is a process where microorganisms are engineered in controlled conditions. At the same time, we’ve been exploring with microalgae, finding new ways to make protein. Through meticulous research and experimentation, we've fine-tuned our methodologies to ensure maximum efficiency for these organisms to grow over synthetic medium but also over recovered digestate`s liquid fraction from a local biogas facility. 📈Scaling Up: Up and running! Our large-scale production is a reality! We’ve taken our lab successes to the big stage with a new hybrid fermenter, which combines various fermentation technologies, and a photobioreactor, a device that uses light to grow microalgae effectively. Our Mission: At SEMPRE BIO, we’re committed to using innovative science to turn waste CO2 from biogas upgrading activities into high-value, sustainable products. With each achievement, we’re not only contributing to the advancement of biotechnology but also addressing pressing environmental challenges. 🙆🏻This milestone is all thanks to the dedication and hard work of our talented team. We are immensely proud of what we have accomplished together and are excited to continue pushing the boundaries in the field of circular bioproduction. ⬇️Dig into the details with our carousel and follow us for more updates! #SEMPREBIO #valorisationCO2 #biopolymers #alternativetoplastics #fermentation #microalgae #alternativeproteins #photobioreactor #sustainability #biogas #updrading

Benign cascade extrative biorefinery for converting agri-food side streams into high-value polyphenolic bioactives and functional fibres for pharma, cosmeceuticals, nutraceuticals and food products.
🤔 Did you know? Onions are made up of 7 layers. There are valuable ingredients in the skin of the onion, but most of them are thrown away. That's why @PHENOLEXA Project has made it its business to exploit these #high-value #bioactives, such as #polyphenols. Find out more about onions and how their waste is used within the project ➡ http://phenolexa.eu/ #circulareconomy #H2020 #CBE_JU @Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU)
