The Ambies will kick-off in a few hours and I'm cheering for Trustonomy in the (very competitive) Best Business Podcast category. Creating a branded podcast with a new client is a rapid trust-building exercise. How quickly can we, as your production partner, understand who you are and what you do? How well can we translate all of that into a podcast that's actually a destination for the audience you want to reach? For Trustonomy, our Pacific Content team (led by David Swanson and Michael Harris, hosted by Shalene Gupta, with lush, binaural sound design from Christian Prohom and Mark Angly), had to leap into the world of data privacy, discovery and governance and find a way to make those complex issues come to life through compelling audio stories. We learned a lot about consent, digital cookies (never accept the avoidable ones!) and the GDPR. The show upended the way I think about our own workflows and data practices, as well as the Challenger Shuttle disaster, life jackets, Tylenol, medical research consent, and Pearl Harbor. A few months ago, when John Ville and I discussed whether we should enter The Ambies, I stressed that the debut season was already a success: fantastic engagement metrics, growing downloads, great reviews, and interest and excitement from company leadership. So, it's truly icing on this cake to be nominated and have more eyes and ears on Trustonomy. John, Kadi Coult Wharton and the OneTrust leadership team - thanks for having the courage to take the leap into podcasting with us (and for championing privacy and trust, and making cookies less annoying). Here's to Season 2!

Ever make a spreadsheet you're like really proud of? Like REALLY proud of? I have. If you hate fumbling around, maybe you have already groaned, keep reading- Starting a podcast was more work than I thought it would be. You may also be coming up against this, and UNLIKE ME, you hate coming up with systems and processes. Hint: If you've talked to me, you know being organized is my comfort zone. I also like to start scrappy, simple, and cheap. It's easy to translate to software if it's already mapped out in a spreadsheet. So, if you wanna copy my homework, please do- $10, which is probably less than the gluten-free avocado toast I'd ask for in person.* I've started uploading things to Gumroad so you don't have to go through it. Check it out: https://lnkd.in/gQGdqimc *guys, it's still my IP, it's for your use, not for your resell

❓ How good is the quality coming out of YOUR sterile processing department? Looking back at Episode 104 of the Ask the Educator Podcast, Gregg Agoston shares the results of an important study on SPD quality and the costs associated with SPD related failures making it to the OR. 🚨 One of the findings... your defects are VASTLY under-reported. The problem with this is that when you don't know what your problems really are, you can't properly fix them either. This has got to be one of my favorite episodes, and I highly encourage all the #sterileprocessing professionals out there to give it a listen. I'd be very curious as to what your thoughts are about the findings in the study highlighted in this episode. Selbey Anderson | Providing escapism, intrigue and fun to marketing professionals through our Unicorny Podcast | I’m bored of reading about outlier Unicorns....
Hello folks 👋 Tune in and turn those dials up! 🦄 Unicorny is back and coming to your earbuds today….. We've got the incredible Simon Hildrey from Liontrust Asset Management PLC teaming up with our very own Jeff Watt from Greentarget UK and Dom Hawes from Selbey Anderson. Together, they'll be decoding the challenges of marketing and communicating in regulated markets. You may have heard that in financial services, marketing gets lost in a labyrinth of compliance-led regulations? We push 🫷Simon on that in the interview. 🎯 With all the red tape, rules and middlemen in the financial scene, is creating an impactful message really as hard as it seems? Simon says not 👎 and you can hear him explain all today on your favourite pod platform or by clicking on my comments below. ⬇️ For those who love a backstory, Simon isn't just any old CMO. A onetime journo, he's still got that journalistic flair, giving him the edge to articulate the magic behind Liontrust's standout brand. It’s a cracking episode full of great takeaways. Listen or lose. Your call. #assetmanagement #b2bmarketing #podcast

Helping B2B companies and individuals build their content brands | Marketing Consultant | Dad x5 | Shoots 85% from the free throw line
People lose jobs because of this. My friend Brendan Hufford was certain he was going to be one of them. When the only input into a content strategy is keyword volume/difficulty and looking at the same data, from the same tools, as everyone else...it's hard to produce unique and meaningful work. Then we wonder why traffic quality is low, conversions are down, MQLs are low, etc. Keywords are the seasoning, not the steak. But, in too many cases, it’s expected to be both. We need new inputs. What comes before the keyword? What’s the content based on? Anything original? Something easily replicable? Something that’s been done hundreds of times before? Brendan knew this. In this week’s episode of Louder Than Words, he was open and honest about his experience in learning the things that don’t work (so that he could go off on his own and work on the things that can.) Don’t miss this one. Just search 'Louder Than Words' wherever you get your pods. (Or, I added an easy subscribe link in the comments.) Shoutout to Riverside.fm. They're offering 15% off to listeners of LTW. Use the code "Louder" during checkout to lock it in 🙂 P.S. Thanks to my friends at Hatch for producing this episode, this promotional clips, and handling the overall production of Louder Than Words.

How is it to have ideas constantly bustling inside your mind? One day you want to kickstart a new project and just by the evening, you want to build another idea out. Navigating this path of building things for fun, also aligned with monetization and community goals is definitely a huge challenge. I sat down recently with Sharath Kuruganty, a seasoned creative builder who loves exploring ideas, shipping things quickly, and iterating and learning from feedback. Sharath’s experiences go so wide—from helping creators launch stuff at Product Hunt, to growing communities with OnDeck, interviewing underdogs on his podcast, and building out products like shoutout.so, GuestLab.ai, he’s a complete creator-product package. We chatted about a personal favorite topic—how to deal with 'fragile' creativity, how not to let failure deter creative ambitions, and why being 'content but not satisfied' is a great way to pursue success. All through his creative pursuits and product building, Sharath kept his focus on a singular goal and let all the bets add up to that. That's the most powerful way to deal with failures too, he says, just as he unpacks a bunch of his fails-turned-learnings too. Tune in!
