From Adam Grant “63 studies: women who assert their ideas, make direct requests, and advocate for themselves are liked less. They're also less likely to get hired—and it hasn't improved over time. It's 2023. 🤯 When will we stop punishing dominant women for violating outdated gender stereotypes?” #AdamGrant #WomenInBusiness #GenderStereotypes #BreakTheStigma #WomenInLeadership

Dear Agencies, This Women’s Day, please please don’t try to ‘emancipate’ women. Don’t show us on bikes riding into freedom. That’s a male idea of women freedom. If you really want to advertise for women, enable women to create those pieces. Watch how the gaze changes. And when the gaze changes, work changes. Best, A staunch feminist, tired of seeing stereotypes on screens, that vow to break stereotypes. #Gender #Advertising

Better advertising comes from interrogating your work and asking thoughtful questions. They called it unconscious bias for a reason—you need to bring it into the light to eliminate it in your ads. We get it. Gender inequality is deeply ingrained stuff. And sometimes you need another perspective, somebody to hold you accountable and collaborate with you. So we recommend adding women’s voices to your conversations. Start by downloading our executive summary to hear 600 women consumers’ thoughts on advertising—the Boundary Pushers and Female Favorers especially will be looking to see your ads do right by women. https://lnkd.in/dpYbadcs

#IntersectionalFeminism: If you advocate middle-class Feminism without thinking about poor women, you are NOT a Feminist! 🌟 At Manushya Foundation, we champion #IntersectionalFeminism, where advocating for feminism means amplifying ALL voices, irrespective of economic status. ❌ Ignoring class divisions perpetuates inequality. Many women, especially those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, endure dual discrimination based on gender and economic status. We must break down class barriers to build a just, equal society. 💪 Join us in challenging the norms of middle-class feminism and striving for a movement that leaves no one behind. Together, we can make a profound difference! 🔗 Learn more from our website: bitly.ws/Tc2i ✊ At Manushya Foundation, we believe feminism must transcend class barriers, supporting women from all backgrounds. We urge both governments and civil society to ensure that the rights of all women, including those from poor or marginalized communities, are respected. Join us in amplifying the voices of women who have been historically sidelined, advocating for gender-responsive policies, and promoting true intersectional feminism. #intersectionalfeminism #inclusivefeminism #equalityforall #equality #womensupportingwomen #dimanstlepatriarchy #girlssupportinggirls #gender #humanrightsmatter #womenrights #humanrights #inclusivity #womenleaders #womenled #feminism #feminists

The Climb's primary goal is to increase the number of women in leadership and managerial roles. Enhancing the representation of women of color in predominantly male and white spaces is crucial for promoting more inclusion and equity. By amplifying the voices and perspectives of women from diverse backgrounds, The Climb not only addresses gender disparities but also confronts intersecting challenges of race, ethnicity, and cultural representation in leadership roles. We are proud to continue driving toward more diverse industries and organizations. #WomenInLeadership #DiversityAndInclusion #EquityMatters #RepresentationMatters #BreakingBarriers #EmpowerWomen #InclusiveLeadership #Intersectionality #ClimbingTogether #DiverseVoices #LeadershipDevelopment #InclusiveWorkplaces #EqualityInAction
