CASE STUDY: Automotive Company saves USD 400,000 per day in downtime, thanks to nVent HOFFMAN SpectraCool Air Conditioners SITUATION ◾ The tire plant in central Mexico faced frequent equipment failures and downtime due to overheating issues caused by the heat generated by vulcanizing machines. ◾ The average local temperature was 27°C (81°F) and could rise as high as 40°C (104°F) in the springtime. ◾ Heat-related component failures were costing the company up to USD 400,000 per day in downtime and repair costs. ◾ Maintenance teams were constantly dealing with emergency calls and struggled to obtain spare parts quickly from vendors, leading to more delays and hassles. SOLUTION ◾ The company conducted research to find a reliable cooling solution with trustworthy aftermarket service, regional spare parts inventories, and competitive warranties. ◾ They selected nVent, a leading enclosure and climate control solutions provider, after having a positive experience with their products and services in other plants. ◾ nVent HOFFMAN specialists performed a thermal audit to assess each enclosure's thermal load and recommended nVent HOFFMAN SpectraCool Indoor air conditioners as the ideal cooling solution. ◾ Approximately 80 SpectraCool Indoor air conditioners were installed throughout the key production areas of the tire plant. ◾ The manufacturer also utilized nVent HOFFMAN SpectraCool Remote Access Control (RAC) functionality to facilitate remote monitoring and management of the air conditioners. RESULTS ◾ The installation of SpectraCool air conditioners stabilized temperature and humidity, leading to optimal equipment performance. Equipment failures were reduced by 90% compared to the previous cooling equipment. ◾ The new cooling solutions ensured the smooth and reliable operation of systems. ◾ Maintenance time and hassle were significantly reduced, and spare part inventory requirements were lowered due to the superior quality and performance of SpectraCool air conditioners. ◾ The maintenance team gained confidence in the plant's stability and performance, allowing them to leave for the day without concerns about unexpected issues or part availability. ------ Authorized Distributor of nVent HOFFMAN in Vietnam SERVO DYNAMICS ENGINEERING CO., LTD 4/1B Luong Dinh Cua St.,An Khanh Ward ,Thu Duc City , HCMC Tel: (+8428) 37402128 Fax: (+8428) 37402129 Email: sales@servodynamics.com.vn Website: www.servodynamics.com.vn #nvent #HOFFMAN #ServoDynamics #Automation

Here’s another way to “picture” the recent progress made in the Conduit & Fittings product category! In just a few months’ time, our outstanding #ProductExpertGroup completed a review of all conduit classes & associated fittings, which covered 147 unique features and 256 unique values, representing a whopping 1,144 distinct Class, Feature, and Value combinations reviewed & accepted or amended to North American terminology. (Not to mention a host of other region-specific model work!) As a result of that work, the group was able to finalize 8 more conduit-related classes, in a remarkably efficient timeframe, that are nearly ready for use in the North American translation of the #ETIM model. Again we thank these Product Experts—the individuals and their member organizations (ABB, ANAMET Electrical, Inc., Appleton Electronics Group, Atkore, Eaton, Electri-Flex Company, Graybar, Rexel Canada, and Wesco)—for their invaluable support and assistance here. Stay tuned for more awesome ETIM progress! (And reach out to Mary Shaw at info@etim-na.org to get involved if you’re not already!)

Electrical, Lighting, and HVAC Distributor, Rep and Manufacturer Consultant Specializing in Growth, Strategy, channel, Marketing and Market Insights
Congratulations to the electrical industry, key contributing conduit manufacturers and ETIM North America for the accomplishment of finalizing 8 conduit-related classes so these manufacturers can begin classifying their products. It shows that the industry can come together to classify product data which will help the entire channel - from manufacturers to reps to distributors and then contractors and engineers - standardize on "the basics" while maintaining their ability to differentiate (from a marketing perspective). This will help the industry become more digital, give more value to "data" and help reduce costs. The conduit Product Expert Group is one of a number of product categories being worked on. And ETIM is the only product standard that is able to be used through all three product syndication data pools in North America - Distributor Data Solutions (DDS), IDEA (Idea4industry) and Trimble Inc. The 9 contributors in this Product Expert Group recognized that they wanted a seat at the table to influence the model and enable change in the future. If you're thinking about the industry long term, and you care about product standards, being involved in ETIM makes sense. And if you don't know why, check out the site (www.etim-na.org) or contact Mary Shaw.

When is the last time you shopped based on value? This post pandemic landscape is a big change for many of us. Some are price shopping while others are scrambling for some sort of delivery. Manufactures seem to ship on their own schedule, leaving much to be desired. A good customer mentioned they placed and order with a factory and the person at the factory responded with "You will receive and acknowledgment within the next few business days" This customer knew "a Few days" could find the product being sold out from under them, While I did not handle this item, I did appreciate the kind words said about our customer service and the opportunity to possibly furnish an item for him. When you are looking for metering and electrical Measurment equipment, remember, many people pick Byram Labs. Knowledge, care, customer service and reasonable pricing make us the number one go to for electrical measurement devices. Your requirements, delivery dates and yes acknowledgments are important to you so they are important to me.
