All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon, is a guide to unlocking your creativity and embracing influences in your creative process.
The book's central idea is that all creative work is built on what came before- NOTHING IS COMPLETELY ORIGINAL, and this is a natural part of the creative process.
Going through this book, it became clear that you will continually be your hindrance to showing up if you want to keep thinking that you have to do "your own" thing to stand out.
No! The secret to unlocking your creative prowess is by garnering ideas from the work of other people. Once you've copied the work of others, the next step is to transform and remix it into something uniquely your own. This is how you begin to develop your artistic voice.
Kleon advocates for carrying a physical notebook to jot down ideas, sketches, and inspirations. It's a simple but effective way to capture your thoughts.
The principles outlined in this book, cut across any field of work. It even goes all the way down to helping you build a healthy self esteem.
Embrace who you are and your unique perspective, as it's what sets your work apart. Wherever you find yourself, it's important you learn to put yourself out, without seeking validation from others. It's okay to have them give you their name tags, but just be focused on doing what you have to do, to get things done.
Beyond work and more work, the author also advises us to create time for fun and entertainment. Have a hobby, do the things that relieve and make you happy. Don't always stay glued to your screen.
Overall, "Steal Like an Artist" is a book that encourages creativity through a process of reimagining the creative process itself. It promotes the idea that being open to influence, borrowing from others, and making connections are key elements in nurturing and expanding one's own creativity. It's a practical guide for anyone looking to enhance their creative pursuits.
I felt like the Artist had me in mind the whole time, reading this book and it's an absolute 100%, to me.
Thank you STAD (She Thinks and Design) for this challenge and opportunity.
I had a beautiful experience.

Today is Look for Circles Day! What does that mean? Well, it means you look for circles and see how many you can find, of course. 😀 Oh there’s one. The smiley face.
It is quite possibly the most amazing shape. It has no beginning and no end. In graphic design, it’s used to draw you in. It’s also used to make things stand out. What would we do without circles? Nobody truly knows and the thought of it seems like an episode of The Twilight Zone.
If you want to learn about circles full circle, read this: https://lnkd.in/gMzHmFGY#graphicdesign#marketing#art#designthinking#svnsvnstudio
From being looked upon to a time when I used to think “what if it doesn’t happen the right way?” to coming to a point “if it is happening, maybe it’s happening for the greater good!”
The work is still in progress and the outcome might not be exactly as what you would expect. Know that as far as you would take your steps further, the shoe rack pieces will get:
➡️difficult to bring them all together
➡️you sometimes might not find the perfect size of rod to complete the shoe rack.
➡️you might need to find a hack and make a new piece all together in replacement of the lost piece.
But somehow if you want to see the end result, you’ll manage to figure things out on your own irrespective of the results.
We somehow lose hope in the process of “Work in progress” and become impatient. Look around yourself, take a deep breath and find your missing pieces around you. They will take you to a point of creating your own creativity with a little pinch of imperfections.
Own your piece of art and cherish it❤️

As an artist, as great as it is to improve; it is also important to also savor the journey of your creative process. You may make some mistakes along the way but it is good to think that these mistakes can open a door of opportunities to your creative process in art. It is not the mistake that is important but the journey on how we can further grow as an artist because of it.
We don’t always make mistakes but when we do, remember that these are just "happy little accidents!" (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و ̑

When you work in the creative field, it’s very easy to forget the artist in you while trying to be your most productive/ambitious/professional self. Your individual art is raw, unhurried, imperfect. It’s your brand. It doesn’t comply with the organizational brand guidelines or timelines, you don’t color within the (corporate) lines.
So before you lose the artist in you, do something. Don’t wait for an audience. If you get one, do your best, but first, for yourself.

Break the box, jump past the fear. It is good to be different, because no person is the same. Let your inner passions, your special point of view, your uniqueness guide your way forward. It only adds to the human experience by sharing connections. Every person is like a drop of paint. By itself the drop of paint is beautiful has depth, has volume, has a color of reflection and tells a single story. When a blank canvas is covered in endless colorful different drops of paint it begins to tell a different bigger more intense, more emotional and sometimes more connected story. It becomes an experience like a blending of community. Together we can create volumes of content that shares our world as a powerful story of where we came from, who we are and who we want to become. I have realized that creativity never ends.
Create a niche for yourself and never assume that there is nothing new to make you different.

Innovation: Unleashing Creativity and Progress
Innovation is the lifeblood of progress, a dynamic force that propels societies, economies, and individuals forward. It is not constrained by socioeconomic status; instead, it thrives on the universal human capacity for creativity and the desire to improve. Introducing new ideas, products, or methods that bring about positive change is the simplest way to define #innovation. It is about challenging the status quo, pushing boundaries, and finding novel solutions to age-old problems. From groundbreaking technological advancements to simple yet ingenious improvements in everyday life, innovation permeates every aspect of human existence.
Innovation is not exclusive to those in positions of affluence or influence. It springs from diverse backgrounds, driven by passion, curiosity, and the pursuit of betterment. Whether it is a grassroots initiative to address local challenges or a global breakthrough that transforms industries, innovation is inherently democratic, welcoming contributions from all walks of life. In the face of adversity or limited resources, individuals often become catalysts for innovation, demonstrating that necessity truly is the mother of invention. From ingenious problem-solving in developing countries to the resilience and adaptability shown by entrepreneurs in challenging circumstances, innovation is a testament to the human spirit’s indomitable will to create, adapt, and overcome.
In a world where challenges are numerous and complex, innovation becomes a beacon of hope. It is not defined by wealth or social standing but rather by the willingness to think differently, take risks, and pursue positive change. As we collectively embrace the spirit of innovation, we unlock the potential for a brighter, more inclusive future, transcending the limitations of socioeconomic status and fostering a world where creativity knows no bounds.
It is not uncommon to hear people state things like "that is how our family is," as if they are static. Be innovative and alter the story. Of course, do not violate someone else's rights in the name of innovation. I do not agree with that.
