The Virginia Museum of History and Culture is releasing "Civics Connects," a free, comprehensive, and classroom-ready resource to help teach middle school students about civics. The program is part of the museum's initiative to engage the public in history and civics in the lead up to America's 250th anniversary.

I appreciate this theme.
We’re gearing up for our 62nd Annual Meeting! 🤩 The theme for this year’s event is “Becoming Visible: The Importance of Women’s Stories.” We’re looking forward to gathering together, highlighting the past year, and being among the first to hear keynote speaker Elizabeth Babcock, who becomes director of the Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum on June 3. Registration is open for the June 20 event, and there are three ways to attend: in person, at our Grand Rapids simulcast, and virtually. Don’t miss this opportunity to be inspired, informed, and make new connections. Building relationships are key to a strong community.
President of Coachella Valley History Museum, Rebecca Rizzo, spoke to The La Quinta Rotary Club of the Desert today about our beautiful campus. She's pictured here with Tim Morgan, President of The La Quinta Rotary Club of the Desert. Here's what Rebecca had to say about the experience: "Thrilled to stand before the La Quinta Rotary today and spread the word about the marvels at the Coachella Valley History Museum! Sharing the wonders of one of my favorite places in the valley is truly a privilege. I wholeheartedly align with the Rotary's principle of 'Service Before Self,' and I'm so excited to share this message from a platform that resonates with community and history." #cvhm #CommunityLeaders #indiocalifornia #coachellavalley #laquinta
