It's a very insightful marketing strategy that is in line with their customer.
There are few retailers that back themselves and put their money where their mouth is when it comes to investing in Marketing. In taking on the Major Sponsorship of MAFS, like all Marketing spend, it's a gamble and a pretty big one at that. I'm happy to say that on this occasion it has been money well spent as Simon's brand, Simon Curwood Jewellers, has reached a very wide audience right across Australia. Good work Simon and Kudos to you! #SimonCurwood #MAFS #RetailLeasing #RetailRealEstate #Retail #ShoppingCentres #RetailProperty #Leasing #Retail Simon CurwoodVaughn McGuinnessJon SullyRebecca PigginsCameron WallaceMichelle CullenDevrim ToddCara Dennis

Our thanks to Alistair Lees for steering us through our first 7 years, as we look forward to Anthony Smith joining us in January 2024. Exciting times lay ahead, but it is also worth pausing to reflect on what has been achieved over the last 7 years: - Leading the design of eTickets in 2016 - Helping achieve almost 100% coverage for barcode tickets by providing 75% of the capital funding to add barcode readers to gatelines and provide handheld versions for staff (just need Merseyside and London to get on board!) - Customer-focused innovations like split ticketing and seat selectors - Reaching new customers by bringing new retailers to market But maybe most importantly, we have not just survived Covid but have thrived ever since – and all without the subsidies required by the train operators themselves. #rail #ticketing #customerfocus
For the past seven years I’ve been the Chair of Independent Rail Retailers – the body representing the majority of the independent rail ticket retailers in Great Britain. But all good things must come to an end, and I’m delighted to announce that none other than Anthony Smith, of Transport Focus fame, has agreed to take on the role from the start of 2024. It’s been a privilege to represent retailers, both large and small, and see them thrive, innovate and grow the market, despite the challenges of Covid. Anthony will continue to make the case for independent retailers and the central role we can play to grow rail revenues, win new customers to rail, and innovate. I'm really looking forward to supporting Anthony in his new role building on successes like eTickets, split ticketing, and bringing new retailers to the market. Watch out for more information in early January. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Addressing the needs of different stakeholders; finding profitable solutions to the problems of people and planet and not profiting from causing harm; and identifying how a business's core competencies can help communities can produce sustainable value-creation for shareholders. It is not the tyranny of the "or;" but the genius of the "and." Good article from Ben Fletcher and great to see the link to Anthropy UK which takes place again Eden Project November 1-3 2023. #responsiblebusiness #ethicalbusiness #sustainablebusiness
Thanks to Retail Week for giving me some column space to discuss the role and impact retail is able to have on society, and the link to shareholder return. In the current economic environment the opportunity is even greater, and something we recognise The Very Group This is why the Anthropy UK is so exciting. It recognises the central role of business in addressing key societal challenges, and, together with charities and the third sector, takes a long-term view of how to create a stronger, more prosperous country. This leadership gathering meets again this coming November in Cornwall, 600 speakers, 200 sessions, 14 ‘stages’ and 2,000 delegate spaces. A unique learning and engagement opportunity. Strategic brilliance, effective impact. The winners of the WARC Awards for Effectiveness 2024 are out now. Watch The Effectiveness Show now to learn more about this year's most effective campaigns: https://lnkd.in/ddvKq2ER #WARCAwards
The WARC Awards Global Grand Prix Winners have just been released. Go to our website to see The Effectiveness Show now 👉 https://lnkd.in/ddvKq2ER Winning is an incredible feat for these campaigns. Only categories where Golds were awarded at the regional level were eligible for a Grand Prix. In those categories, all the Golds then competed against each other, and the Global Super Jury could only award one Grand Prix in each eligible category. They only awarded a Grand Prix if they felt the campaign *absolutely* met the benchmark. Watch The Effectiveness Show where, in 15 minutes, you'll learn who won, and why, along with clips from the winning campaigns. #WARCAwards #GrandPrixWinners #JustAnnounced #Campaign #Winner

Based on how I am feeling this morning I can vouch for the below. Didn't help that the Manchester United v Liverpool game went to extra time! Best of luck to Coventry City Football Club (my team) in their semi at Wembley Stadium. More than 13 million pints of Guinness are expected to be consumed on Saint Patrick's Day. To meet this seasonal fluctuation in demand, supply chain speed and flexibility play an essential role. 🍀🍻 Read our E-book to explore the top 5 logistics challenges impacting the alcoholic beverage industry and their neat solutions.
