What makes learner-centered design crucial to all learning experiences? Without it, you run the risk of running into these 12 common pitfalls: + Assuming Learner Needs + Content Overload + Ignoring Diverse Learning Styles + Lack of Interactivity + Focusing on Aesthetics Over Substance + Minimal or No Assessment + Rigid Structure + Limited Flexibility + Neglecting Real-World Application + Insufficient Learner Feedback + Time Constraints + Lack of Learner Autonomy It’s critical to design learning experiences for the learner, but as you can see, there are a lot of things that can get in the way of that. You can learn more about these common saboteurs along with ways to avoid them in our latest blog post! ➡️ https://lnkd.in/guFE-gYC 💡What have you seen sabotage a learning experience? #learningdesign #learningexperience #education #learninganddevelopment #learnercentered

I like a lot this vision, that Microlearning is appealing but not the deep game changer as we can read sometimes around and especially not a standalone format. To achieve maximum learning retention, real behavioral change, and optimal ROI, it have to be part of a comprehensive learning plan including other delivery methodologies... Learning is really a journey ☺

🌟 Thrilled to offer a glimpse into how I leverage Social Learning Theory for impactful eLearning experiences in my modules! 👀 Observation & Modeling: Social Learning Theory thrives on observing and modeling others. In my designs, I craft scenarios where learners can observe real-world examples or simulations, enabling them to mirror behaviors and gain hands-on experience. 🤝 Collaborative Learning: Collaboration is key! I cultivate environments where learners can collaborate in teams, tapping into each other's strengths and insights. For instance, in a sales training module, I orchestrate group activities where team members role-play sales scenarios, learning from diverse approaches. 💬 Discussion & Feedback: Dialogue fuels learning! I embed discussion forums and peer review mechanisms, facilitating meaningful conversations and constructive feedback. For instance, in a language learning module, learners engage in group discussions to hone speaking skills and receive peer feedback. By embracing Social Learning Theory, I craft eLearning experiences that empower learners to flourish, thrive, and glean insights from each other's experiences! 🚀 #eLearning #InstructionalDesign #SocialLearningTheory #CollaborativeLearning https://lnkd.in/eUnsTEWK
