SEVEN VIEW has been instrumental in supporting disaster readiness across 7-Eleven stores in Japan. Here's its story!
We sat down to talk to Izuru Nishimura, Executive Officer and General Manager of the Systems Department at Seven-Eleven Japan.
SEVEN VIEW was developed back in 2014 when Japan faced a series of natural disasters, including heavy snowstorms, tsunami threat, torrential rains, and volcanic eruptions. "We needed a disaster management system that allowed everyone to share real-time status information,” Nishimura said.
7-Eleven needed a solution so that headquarters, located far away from the disaster-stricken area, could provide the necessary support.
SEVEN VIEW was designed to focus on being easy to operate for anyone. With it, the system can even track delivery truck locations and predict which stores will likely be affected by a torrential downpour.
Additionally, SEVEN VIEW has a unique feature that displays the area on a map where evacuation orders have been issued.
