We're thrilled to announce a significant victory by the Fried Frank team, led by partners Michael Keats and Rebecca Martin, along with associate Samuel Truesdell. The US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit issued a per curiam opinion affirming the district court's decision to dismiss federal trade secret and RICO claims against our clients, Ascential, Flywheel Digital, James Columbus (“Chip”) DiPaula, Jr. and Patrick Miller. This decision, made on July 3, came without the need for oral argument. This follows our February 2023 success in getting a $1.2 billion civil RICO and theft of trade secrets case dismissed.
