He died for our sins. Was it worth it? The world you choose to live in, is consumed with the word Trump. Over half of the once United States of America has chosen to believe a lie told by a evil person with the power of influence. So many lives and their careers ruined for life, because they choose to follow his lies and he walks away unscathed. Yes it’s biblical. The glorified mugshot, that’s his guarantee on who he is. What’s disturbing about it, there was no need to put a gun to their head. Power of persuasion. There’s only one entity who can do that. (Taking that forbidden bite of the apple). You know the rest. I’m a science fiction screenwriter. I can’t make this sh-t up. It’s reality that has to be dealt with accordingly. A vote for President Biden on November 5th will destroy that influence that has plagued the mines of many. HE IS NOT YOUR GOD, only a empty shell of a man filled with hate instead of a soul. A country so divided by this one person. People living in fear if they choose to oppose him. Judges and Prosecutors needing security to walk the street without fear of retaliation with violence. His name is spoken 24:7. He’s news worthy? Dictator’s need their name spoken as many times as possible. That’s how the influencing starts. He’s right and they’re wrong said over and over again. This CAN NOT continue to happen, because of one man’s refusal to accept defeat. Defeat is still knocking at his door and it will open again and close behind him for good. In the words of legendary actor: Robert De Niro, he has to be stopped. Where’s the justice? It’s deterred by fear. Think about your future. He most certainly did with his life. Society places an excessive amount of weight on our weight for all the wrong reasons. No pun intended.⁣ When we fall short of those demands set before us, fat shaming frequently follows, leaving many dejected and feeling unworthy, unloveable, and undesirable. None of these tactics are acceptable nor effective in helping people reach a healthier weight. Contributing factors in the development of excess weight include our: 👉🏽 Genetics 👉🏽 Environment 👉🏽 Culture 👉🏽 Nutrition 👉🏽 Sleep 👉🏽 History of trauma or abuse 👉🏽 Mental & Emotional health 👉🏽 Stress Resilience & Response 👉🏽 Chronic Health Conditions & Medications Don't add to the suffering an individual is already carrying. Shame and humiliation, contrary to popular belief, is not an effective motivator. Ironically, as a fat-shaming society, our waistlines are rapidly expanding. Not only that, we are becoming bigger at a much younger age. Yes, it is true, our families are teams. We spend a lot of time with the people we work with, and hopefully more time with the people we love and who we call family. The video clip is one from my son, Mason Branstrator, that has gone viral and was on ABC News recently and is a great demonstration of part of our team. Unfortunately, our daughter, Sydney, couldn't go on the trip with us. When my son was injured almost three years ago, it was clear that our family needed to kick it into gear. We needed to assess our Strengths (as in innate and, yes, CliftonStrengths) and put them into action. We call our team the "Wave Riders". While Mason's accident was one of the more public things that happened, we like many families, have endured a lot of challenging events over the years. We have grown stronger, wiser, and kinder in the process. Here are just a few snippets of what we have learned while growing up together. ☀ Based on our Strengths, we each have a different sense of time and urgency. I see this often with couples that I work with too. Without naming it, it can take over and be a driver of conflict. ☀ While it is true that we each have our own sense of time, we must also respect one another's timeline and process. For example, I pack a lot of energy and move decisions into reality when I get the go-ahead. However, I need to allow my partner the time he needs to process and consider the options. ☀ We must listen to one another actively and be curious. The moment we cut someone off or judge the idea, we will spiral into troubled waters. ☀ Holding the "both/and" is tricky. Two things can be true at once. We all have different opinions and ways of arriving at the same outcome. In fact, we often want the same thing. So, holding the "both/and" comes in handy when we don't agree or need to have hard conversations. There is always a path through. Cheers to all and Happy New Year! As a community, let's rally around our grieving children, offering understanding, support, and guidance as they navigate the challenging journey of grief.
